We are seeking a Tender Specialist to join our team.
The vast majority of sales to the public sector in the UK are subject to OJEU regulations and must go through a tender process, this role takes the lead for DePuy-Synthes in UK/ Ireland for offer submissions. The role looks to create best in class submissions and ensure no business is lost due to incorrect submissions both in terms of content and timescales.
Key responsibilities:
- To source, apply, submit, implement and manage tenders, quotations and proposals
- Coach Sales Force in adherence to processes
- To work on improvement activities to ensure DePuy-Synthes produce World Class Tenders
- Attend pre and post tender meetings in the UK with members of the sales team
- To produce detailed pricing reports relating to tenders and proposals for Trust's and internal customers
- To monitor and report on all work in progress relating to customer pricing requests
- Support Analysts, as well as Commercial Services Managers and Business Unit Managers/Directors
- Communicate and coordinate daily with UK Customer Services and OrthoKit® team, including managers and front line staff
- Communicate and coordinate daily with UK Sales Team, including account managers, field sales managers, directors and product managers
- Communicate and coordinate daily with Customers, i.e. Surgeons, Clinical Leads, Procurement as well as Customer Finance Departments
- Liaise as required with other departments such as Regulatory, Finance and Quality to source information for completion of tender documents
Qualifications
Previous Tender experience as well as NHS supply chain exposure
Access - Basic knowledge
Internet - Basic knowledge
Prior experience interacting with the public sector desirable
2 years experience of working with Sales Team and/or Customer facing role
Experience of NHS procurement process would be an advantage but not essential
Microsoft Word - Intermediate knowledge
Microsoft Excel - Advanced knowledge (Daily use of Pivot Tables and V lookup)
Prior experience with JD Edwards desirable
