Summary of position

The EMEA Commercial & Business Services Procurement team ensures the Media, Marketing Services and Business Services suppliers deliver best short, medium and long value for the J&J Group of Consumer Companies. We do this by building and implementing sourcing strategies that develop a world class network of best value suppliers meeting J&J Business needs of supplier quality and reliability, responsiveness, cost competitiveness and access to technology innovation that fuels superior growth.

The position of Cluster Procurement Manager is designed to meet these objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for developing Procurement in the Commercial and Business Services space with particular focus on Marketing Services. In the Business Services space you will be responsible for coordinating with the local Procurement teams from the other sectors to leverage strategies. The complexity of a Strategic Sourcing Manager portfolio is a product of the number of services, the concerned technologies, the number of supplier relationships to manage and the number of Brands/Franchises supported.

The Procurement Manager is located in Germany, Neuss.

Key responsibilities/ Main tasks

· Sourcing Strategy
- Become expert in the technology and supply industry area by developing in-depth knowledge about Supply Base Industry (capabilities, strengths, weaknesses)
- Become the point of contact in the technology and supply base area for Industry and Supplier intelligence and trends
- Develop, align with Business and execute sourcing strategies for the specific technology area

· Access to Innovation
- Lead efforts to identify and implement product or technology innovation from Suppliers that fuel profitable growth

· Waste and Complexity Reduction
- Lead efforts to identify and implement current and pipeline cost and complexity reduction opportunities with Internal Stakeholders and Suppliers
- Develop and Manage the financial Business Plan through forecast of yearly price changes, tracking of Cost Improvement Program

· Legal Contract Development and Management
- Negotiate appropriate supply terms and agreements for agencies that best meet the needs and risks posed to J&J
- Manage contracts status to ensure appropriate legal coverage is maintained across the portfolio

· Supplier Relationship Management
- Accountable for defining and managing supplier relationship to best meet the needs of commodity strategy
- Accountable for the identification, implementation and tracking of Continuous Improvement initiatives at selected Suppliers

Qualifikationen
- University degree
- Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment
- Experience in Strategic Sourcing in Marketing Services
- Experience working in the area of FMCG (Fast Moving Consumer Goods) and/or OTC is very desirable
- Knowledge of general manufacturing principles and practices and of new product commercialization processes
- Knowledge of compliance requirements (cGMP, GMP's, DEA, etc)
- Demonstrated ability to work in a matrix environment and customer / supply base
- Fluent in English, a basic level of German is required
- Personal computer proficiency
- Self starter with high integrity and ethical behaviour
- Strong Partnership, collaboration and teamwork skills as well as analytical decision making skills
