Description

DePuy Mitek Sports Medicine, a member of DePuy Synthes Companies of Johnson & Johnson, is currently recruiting for a Platform Director - Global Pipeline Marketing, located in company headquarters of Raynham, MA. DePuy Mitek Sports Medicine is a global leader in minimally invasive joint mobility solutions for the sports medicine field.

The Platform Director - Global Pipeline Marketing will have responsibility for developing and executing against the portfolio pipeline strategy for one of DePuy Mitek's largest surgical device platforms ensuring the platform is able to attain its growth targets. This position will report into the Group Product Director - Global Pipeline Marketing.

Serve as the owner of the global platform strategy that supports business objectives, is executable, easily communicated, and clinically supported; Evolve strategy as needed/appropriate, gaining input on and maintaining alignment for the strategy with the broader organization; Identify and prioritize new product growth opportunities for the platform through the use of market research, customer/stakeholder interviews, surveys, literature review, attending industry related conferences etc. as well as through support of DePuy Mitek's New Business Development efforts; Serve as a leading information source for the company on platform-relevant market/segment size and attractiveness, competitive benchmark information, clinical trends, and healthcare economic trends and implications; Create and maintain business case analysis for individual projects and the platform portfolio overall to support appropriate resource allocation levels and ensure platform is well positioned to meet growth targets.

The Platform Director will also partner closely with DePuy Mitek Sports Medicine's Concept Engineering team to provide direction regarding user needs and performance requirements for identified new products. They will assist program managers/engineers in soliciting customer/stakeholder feedback on ideas/prototypes thru interviews, cadaver evaluations etc. They will also partner with global Commercial Marketing and Sales colleagues to gain input on key "4P's" attributes to maximize market success upon launch, and for updates to existing products to extend the product lifecycle.

The Platform Director will develop and sustain positive surgeon relationships through on site visits, operating room and professional conference visits, email and phone communication and timely follow through.

Portfolio management/planning/strategy development; User needs identification & analysis, segmenting a market, selecting optimal targets, and positioning effectively; Translating user needs into product requirements; Business case & financial modeling; Competitive assessments; Surgeon (Customer) segmentation analysis; Other stakeholder analysis (patients, payers and providers); Developing and managing surgeon relationships within HCC guidelines and corporate objectives; Obtaining broader stakeholder feedback and buy in where needed (including commercial marketing, sales, management board, New Business Development); Must have the ability to influence without authority across multiple levels; Must possess strong analytical skills. Must have experience with Voice of the Customer (VOC) and/or Job Outcomes Constraints (JOC) techniques and the ability to translate them. Must have strong written and oral communication skills.

Qualifications


A minimum of a BS/BA degree is required with an MBA or other advanced degree highly preferred. A minimum of 6 years of total business experience is required in any combination of the following areas: Product/Portfolio Marketing, Strategy Consulting, or New Product Development/Innovation, R&D. Have confidence to challenge the status quo and remove barriers to achieving results

Experience in developing and presenting business strategies is required. Medical Device experience is preferred. Must have experience working in cross functional teams, and be able to engage and get buy in from key internal stakeholders and drive teams towards consensus on product needs/opportunities. Global experience preferred. Must be willing to work within an Operating Room setting and with cadavers. This position requires approximately 25-30% travel, primarily domestic with some international travel.
