Salary Range: Salary commensurate with experience.

Purpose
Provide advanced technical and administrative support for the Human Resources (HR) department in a broad range of HR functions, including, but not limited to, benefits, recruitment, training, and HRIS. Monitor and administer a broad range of Bank benefits and provide customer service and confidential counseling for all benefit programs.



Major Accountabilities
  • Administer and monitor benefits and employment-related data to maintain accurate files and databases and produce timely and factual reports for business decisions. Initiate all benefits enrollments and process changes or terminations promptly.
  • Provide excellent customer service on benefits and other employment concerns. Research and resolve problems in a timely, accurate, and professional manner. This includes confidential benefits counseling, communications with Bank management and staff, and troubleshooting with insurance carriers, health plan providers, retirement plan administrators, and consultants.
  • Assist with the employment process, including scheduling interviews and completing the background check process. Coordinate all temporary employment assignments for the Bank.
  • Act as primary contact for new hires and conduct orientations on benefits, Bank policies, and payroll procedures.. Coordinate the termination process for the HR department. Assist with any needed follow-up for active and terminated employees.
  • Coordinate and monitor the daily operations of various benefits, including Workers’ Compensation.
  • Maintain accurate data in HRIS, generate system reports, and implement necessary system changes.
  • Provide advanced administrative support to the Human Resources Department. This includes preparing confidential materials and reports for the Executive Committee and Board of Directors; generating and distributing monthly reports and correspondence; assisting with performance review and goal-setting processes; and scheduling meetings and interviews. As needed, assist in the Bank’s recruiting process.
  • Interface with Payroll to ensure accurate and timely issuance of paychecks and benefits.
  • Manage the overall operations for the Human Resources Department.
  • Recommend streamlining or other improvements to Department processes and procedures to ensure efficiency.
  • Coordinate departmental projects, such as training programs, open enrollment, and “Today’s Special” presentations.
  • Ad hoc responsibilities, as needed.


Skills/Knowledge
  • Bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in human resources management or business, or equivalent work experience, strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of three years of human resources experience, with exposure to benefits administration, compliance and HRIS maintenance, is required.
  • Knowledge of HR areas including benefits, recruitment, trainings, compensation, and payroll, along with all applicable policies, operations, and terminology, is highly desired.
  • Must have excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly Word and Excel. Ability to design spreadsheets and use graphics and organization chart software is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Ceridian Human Resources Information System, in particular data integrity and reporting, is required.
  • Must be able to deal effectively with staff at all levels, as well as with outside vendors.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and. superior customer service skills are required, with a. high level of diplomacy and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
