Role of the Business Development Manager: Explore, identify and prioritize region business opportunities that are aligned with current brand strategies. Proactively identify ways to build a long term foundation for JLAT growth by addressing emerging market trends and building relationships with key stakeholders. Identify and coordinate opportunities with internal partners (ex: Marketing, HPAD, SGA, SMD, etc.) to ensure alignment to expand JLAT utilization and provide tangible contributions with measurable outcomes. Functions as a market knowledge expert and strategic partner with local management team (ex: RBD, ABM, SMD)

This role is to expand Regional opportunities of Janssen CNS products in a manner commensurate with company policy and sales direction, while utilizing all applicable tools and resources. The Region Business Development Manager must be able to proactively assess opportunities to drive compliant new business or maximize sales opportunities with existing business. This individual will partner closely with the regional management and internal partners to ensure alignment against priority business objectives. This individual will take responsibility for mental health delivery systems, call on C-level customers, and utilize approved pull thru/demand generation materials for LAT therapies to provide solutions to key decision makers.

This specific position will report directly into the Midwest Regional Business Director. The geographic span of the role entails the states of IL, MN, WI, IA, and the Dakota's. It will be their responsibility to assess needs on a state by state basis and develop strategic plans. Management duties will include working with the RBD to assess business issues and opportunities, work with DM's on local implementation that the DM's will pull thru in field sessions, and to conduct field time with Sales Representatives on customer visits to assess needs and ensure that proper and effective implementation of training is executed. This position will take the lead role on partnering with key internal partners to assist in the implementation of new pilots or projects given the importance and size of the opportunity within our key states.

Qualifications


To be considered for this role, candidates must meet the following criteria: Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree is required and MBA preferred. A valid driver's license in required. Five or more years of direct selling experience to healthcare professionals in the pharmaceutical, biotech, device, or healthcare industries, or large account development related experience. Previous management experiences a plus but not required. Ability to work with minimal direction, making sense of ambiguity and focus on critical key strategic imperatives to set the foundation for the future of the marketplace. A strong capacity for working independently and partnering with both internal and external customers. Collaboration and individual and team leadership skills are essential. Must provide documented track record of sales results. Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time. Experience with, and a deep understanding of the reimbursement landscape for physician administered injectables is strongly preferred. Marketplace knowledge is critically importance inclusive of pharmacy benefit and medical benefit, Managed Medicaid, and the complexities of linkage between institutions, continuity of care and outpatient services. Experience in the CA market is preferred.
