We are looking for a Lead Programmer Analyst to join our Application Support Services (Cerner Millennium & CoPath Plus) team.

Essential Functions:
- Demonstrated ability to independently develop advanced concepts, techniques andstandards.

- Experience in working independently and in coaching/ mentoring colleagues.
- Demonstrated knowledge of confidentiality of medical information.
- Strong system analysis and design skills.
- Demonstrated excellence in troubleshooting skills.
- Demonstrated experience working with laboratory instruments and their functions.
- Experience installing and maintaining a Cerner Millennium database/dictionarypreferred.
- Demonstrated communication skills with a variety of technical, clinical and management skills.
- Demonstrated documentation skills.
- Demonstrated application system acceptance testing skills.
- Working knowledge of HL7 interfaces between LIS/Ancillary System and HIS.
- Strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills to communicate with clients,other IT staff and vendors.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in development of new programs/applications or maintaining and/or supporting existing programs/systems.
- 6+ years of technical experience in a fast paced, Information Technology Department consisting of a combination of staff and contractors.
- Significant experiencein Laboratory Information Systems, Specifically Cerner Millennium.
- 6+years experience with personal computers, particularly with database, spreadsheet, and/or word processing software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office products and networking concepts
- Professional experience in leading a team on all aspects application/software development and production support activities.
- Thorough knowledge of policies, practices and systems used.
- Demonstrates proven facilitation, delegation and negotiation skills.
- Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices and standards.
- Must have excellent verbal and writing skills.
- Broad application of principles, theories and concepts in information technology and programming, plus working knowledge of other related fields.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Cerner CoPath Anatomic Information System support experience preferred
- Sunquest Laboratory Information System support experience preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements
- Recent attendance at clinical laboratory information systems continuing educationprograms preferred.
- Enterprise Change Management applications (Remedy)
- Application Lifecycle management tools (Borland StarTeam, Caliber)
