KP-IT is seeking an exceptional Business Consultant to support the National Benefits Enhancement Tracking System (BETS) application, translating business requirements into new development or modifications of existing logic, leading development teams on several key national deployments and regional project initiatives, developing screens and business functionality in client applications, and creating technical documentation of existing application design and functionality. This position will work closely with business and IT partners predominantly in the Northwest region requesting BETS system enhancements to interpret requirements, assess impact, and facilitate timely and accurate release of application enhancements. Position will also provide ancillary support for other geographic regions. Senior Business Consultant will also be responsible for interfacing with key stakeholders across the organization, including IT customer service representatives, benefits, sales, and claims professionals who use the BETS system, application developers, user acceptance (UAT) testers, project managers, KP-IT executives, and others.

Job Responsibilities Include:
Serve as subject matter expert (SME) and technical liaison for BETS application in working with Business Customer Service organization and regional customers
Work with regional and national partners to interpret requirements, document application impact and ensure requests are assigned to the appropriate BETS application release
Work with BETS development managers to communicate development demand and ensure focused, optimal functionality to meet end-user requirements.
Track BETS application release issues including the ongoing documentation of current release status.
Provide problem resolution for application production issues. Provide application support during deployment of regular maintenance and major releases. Monitor production batch and ad-hoc jobs as required ensuring proper functioning and completion of business operations. Research and resolve technical and functional issues according to defined prioritization/severity schema. Influence client and gain commitment to changes required.
Provide direction and support recommendations on product functionality; consult with regional business personnel on application functionality.
Coordinate with User Acceptance Testing groups nationwide to ensure that application enhancement quality control is in place.
May assist in the development of reports and communication to regional and KPIT leadership.
Assist project and program managers with all associated analysis involving impacted business processes and system workflow impacts.
Coordinate input from regional project teams, application support services teams, internal KP engineering teams andKP business partners.
May provide application training & application analysis to small teams of resources within a project related to application features/functions and business processes/workflow.
Participate in process improvement activities
Qualifications:

Basic/Minimum Qualifications
A Bachelor's degree or 4 years of equivalent experience.
5 years experience in functional analysis for progressively complex technology applications, including interviewing business users and providing high-level estimates.
A minimum of 2 years SDLC experience.
Demonstrated collaboration, documentation, and presentation skills.
Excellent communications and interpersonal skills.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.


Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of KP Health Plan systems including the BETS application, or general Health Plan Administration knowledge.
Familiarity with the disciplines ofChange Management, ITIL, and IT SOX segregation of duties (SOD).
Demonstrated ability to work with both technical and business management and staff. .
Demonstrated ability to participate fully on a team to enable timely and accurate completion of common goals.
Must have a positive attitude and the ability to collaborate and communicate with all levels of management.
Must have a strong team focus and ability to work well under deadlines
Strong leadership, collaboration, and negotiation skills.
Excellent oral and written communications skills.
