Prepares and completes tax returns and reports involved with federal and stateincome tax and exempt organization reporting. Responsible for meeting all required deadlines. Maintains current knowledge of all tax laws affecting the company. Reviews proposals for tax implications and recommends actions that meet the business plans while managing the tax liability. Assists in tax audits.
Essential Functions:
- Responsible for preparing Forms 1120, Forms 568, Forms 990, state forms and misc. forms as needed.
- Provides support for tax audits.
- Responsibilities impact the achievement of key department and/or functional objectives.
- Contributes to the achievement of department objectives.
- Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve department objectives would normally affect expenditures and resources.
- Involves interpreting and analyzing established concepts.
- Exercises judgment to make decisions for less defined issues and selects methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.

- Develops solutions to complex problems.
- May refer to established precedents and policies when making decisions.

- Has no formal supervisory responsibility.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Generally four (4) to six (6) years tax accounting experience.
- Four (4) year degree in tax accounting or related field or equivalent experience.
- Thorough knowledge of tax accounting policies, practices and systems.
- Complete understanding and application of tax accounting principles, concepts, practices and standards.
- Broad application of tax accounting principles, theories and concepts in applicable discipline, plus working knowledge of other related fields.
- Full knowledge of industry practices.
Preferred Experience:
-Two or more years of Form 990 preparation experience
- CPA
- Masters Degree in related field
