The Marketing Communications Manager is responsible for managing the development of strategies and creative concepts for marketing communications and promotional campaigns and programs. Oversees communications planning for Marketing Communications programs as well as ensures the National Marcom Department's brand image strategy is upheld within the Division. Provides creative direction for all Divisional marketing communications programs.

Essential Functions:
- Assists in developing marketing communications strategies and plans to support Division membership growth targets.
- Manages the development of all specific marketing communications produced by the department, excluding some Business Line work.
- Ensures that marketing communication plans reflect the organization's overall brand images.
- Ensures that creative direction and executions fulfill and relate to the organization's brand image strategy and messages.
- Ensures that creative executions accurately portray all aspects of the Plan, maintaining consistency with contractual requirements, current KP brand image copy standards, and comply with all state and federal regulations.
- Identifies, oversees and recommends methods and techniques to assess the creative effectiveness of marketing communications and promotional collateral.
- Ensures all communication projects are produced within budget and timeframes.
- Assists in implementing the program-wide design templates for the Division and service area communications.
- Supports integrated communications through active participation on Marketing Communications Council and other related teams.
- Develops, recruits, trains and motivates statewide staff, allocates workload and initiates timely performance evaluations.
- Develops and manages all marketing communications budgets.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field and/or a minimum of 5 years of communications experience.
- Knowledge of the dynamics and trends in health care delivery systems and models, and of health care industry practices.
- Experience managing the writing, editing and developing of printed materials, as well as managing outside creative resources.
- Excellent problem solving, negotiation, and decision making skills.
- Ability to communicate persuasively and effectively to a wide range of internal and external customers and stakeholders.
- Thorough knowledge of communications planning and budgeting, as well as various forms of communications.
- Consistently demonstrating the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors necessary to provide superior and culturally sensitive service to each other, to our members, and to purchasers, contracted providers and vendors

Preferred Qualifications:
- Communications experience in Health Care or Health Insurance environment.
- Master's degree.
- Experience in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
