Provides project management leadership to the product lifecycle management efforts for Kaiser Permanente's Northwest region. Conducts complex analyses which support product performance targets. This position also provides consulting services regionally and nationally for initiatives within the scope of Product Management and any other responsibilities assigned by the Director.

Essential Functions:
- Project Management: Manages projects related to products with limited oversight, using standard project management methodologies.
- Establishes processes and creates effective project management tools to guide project efforts and to achieve desired project outcomes.
- Scopes and develops appropriate project approach.
- Develop overall engagement work plan, and ensure that assigned tasks and responsibilities are accomplished in a timely manner.
- Successfully build, direct and maintain motivated, empowered and diverse project teams.
- Create a team environment.
- Exhibit and enable behaviors which create a learning/sharing culture.
- Guide teams in dealing with change barriers and project constraints.
- Proactively identify difficult situations and manage them before they become issues.
- Manage potential conflict.
- Recognize and anticipate scope issues and communicate changes to the work plan to sponsors, project leadership and team.
- Identifies issues and works to facilitate resolution.
- Anticipates project issues.
- Assesses alternatives.
- Takes appropriate measures to resolve in a professional, tactful manner.

- Ensure realization of intended benefits: Establish deliverable structure and content outline.
- Ensure deliverables meet business objectives, design specifications and quality standards.
- Build follow-up mechanism / maintenance plan into project deliverables to ensure that changes to be implemented will be sustainable.
- Plan, organize and control multiple responsibilities and resources to achieve project objectives.
- At project completion, share key project deliverables achieved and not achieved, lessons learned, and best practices.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Five (5) plus years of project management experience or member of project management team.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in health care, business administration, or a related field required.
- Manage complex projects or multiple projects of moderate complexity.
- Use judgment to create solutions to organizational problems and advise a course of action.
- Use advanced verbal and written communications methods to convey concepts to team members and clients.

Preferred Qualifications:
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience leading or managing people on projects preferred.
- Experience in management and business consulting preferred.
- Master's degree or equivalent experience in health care, business administration, or a related field preferred.
- Proven leadership skills in project management and consulting, including the following attributes: efficient, collaborative, candid, open and results-oriented preferred.
- Strong proficiency in the use of current software, including spreadsheets, process mapping tools, project workplan tools, charts and graphs, and basic Microsoft applications preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of analytic techniques pertinent to planning, finance, and management engineering preferred. This includes forecasting, sensitivity analysis, financial analysis such as NPV, decision analysis, cost-benefit/effectiveness and other economic analysis, and multi-variate statistical analysis.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills preferred (1:1, peer, team, presentations, written).
- Ability to design and deliver formal training programs to staff and customers on advanced consulting and analytical tools and techniques preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to: Manage against multiple competing priorities of operational management customers and business process preferred.
- Establish clear performance contracts and project budgets preferred.
- Manage a large/strategic project to achieve expected outcomes, on time, within budget preferred.
- Facilitate teams from all levels and of the organization, build teams, and resolve conflict preferred.
- Solve complex problems preferred.
- Influence strategic change in an organization preferred.
- Be assertive, objective and be able to confront clients with difficult issues preferred.
- Develop fact-based, data-driven methodologies to help clients address strategic issues preferred.
- Perform analyses to help client address strategic issues and achieve performance targets preferred.
- Conduct, interpret and present quantitative/qualitative analysis preferred.
- Identify key business issues and develop action plans from multi-disciplinary perspectives preferred.

Salary Range:
$66,740 - $91,460
