Qualifications
· Bachelors Degree or similar, minimum of 5-7 years direct experience with Global Trade Compliance government agencies and similar based activity
· Can articulate experience in developing and auditing policy regarding HTS Classification, Schedule B, EAR, ECCN / CCL, HTS, OFAC, Census, 3PL's (Forwarders / Brokers) and POA requirements gathering. Phytosanitary work is a plus.
· Can articulate the key documents and controls required in an export and import transaction and the risk of non-compliance complete with the possible Federal Regulator response to same
· Demonstrates knowledge of the Export / Import compliance based activity filing and entry processes and best practice preparation
· Familiarity with the Customs or Commerce Audit process a plus
· Computer proficient with Excel, Word and Outlook.
· Demonstrates strong analytical, planning, and decision making skills and capable of managing people.
· Must be an effective team player and proficiently work with cross functional teams
· Strong verbal and written communication skills
· Strong results orientation
· The ideal candidate will take ownership for Trade Compliance and be able to develop relationships with different stakeholders on top of influencing and onboarding colleagues in the different regions to create understanding of and commitment around Trade Compliance.
