In this job role you'll use your expertise in translating IT requirements into great design, as well as development and assembly of components, coding, unit testing and documentation, to create custom information systems for our clients. Applicants should also be specialists who primarily apply their technical skills in an internal or external customer billable services, and implementation, environment. May be involved in new layouts, products, devices, components, methods or procedures. Performs all assignments independently, has latitude working within established processes, procedures. May be responsible for timeliness and availability of various platforms, and for resolving problems, some of which may be for all network and server components. As required may interface with various network vendors and utilities and utilize Systems Management Process specific client. Provides input into maintaining documentation/operating procedures within area of expertise or to improve these procedures, or in developing new processes.Be a part of making the world more instrumented, interconnected - and intelligent. Participates in and may provide technical leadership to a small team. Designs, codes, tests and/or provides ongoing support for an application, including integration of changes that may impact multiple applications or application components. Possesses considerable understanding of customer end to end business processes and specific requirements of the assigned applications.
May lead the application quality and reliability processes involving the addressing, isolating, tracking and reporting of problems through resolution. Proficiency and experience in producing management reports. Responsible for the definition of reusable application components and/or design, development, and maintenance in a medium size/ complexity application(s)/product(s). Analyzes functional specifications.

Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 1 year experience in Java/J2EE (must be actual work experience)
- At least 1 year experience in Spring MVC/Struts (must be actual work experience)
- At least 1 year experience in JSP or JSF (must be actual work experience)
- At least 1 year experience in SQL (must be actual work experience)
- English: Intermediate
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 1 year experience in Creating Web Services
- At least 1 year experience in Hibernate

Note Regarding Travel: The IBM Michigan Delivery Center is an in-bound delivery model where we support our clients from our East Lansing, MI center. Some travel is expected and all candidates must be willing and able to travel to meet our client needs. Travel is typically related to knowledge transfer and training at the client site and may fluctuate from a few months up front (Monday thru Friday) or traveling several days per quarter.
