Description

- Work closely with Global Finance Services team to deliver quality, timeless and accuracy in the financial management reporting, which include the full spectrum of General Ledger, Fixed Assets, Inventory Management, Sales Processing as part of Monthly Closing process.
- To establish effective controls and process documentation in supporting financials business process.
- Aware of and monitors compliance of processes, transactions and balances with accounting/finance policies.
- Assists in implementing appropriate accounting policies and procedures.
- Aware of internal control concepts, evaluates controls to ensure they are operating effectively and makes recommendations to improve controls.
- Manage balance sheet accounts and perform monthly balance reconciliations and follow up on any discrepancies.
- Provide month end close accounting process transaction support, ensuring proper cut off (includes coordination with other processes) partnering with the Global Finance Services and Local Finance.
- Respond and resolves queries on general accounting issues from Local Finance on a timely basis.
- Ensure quality and accurate delivery of services within agreed key performance indicators (KPIs) and as defined in the Service Level Agreement (SLA).
- And ad hoc financial assignment needed by the management.

Qualifications


- Professional accountancy qualification or Degree in Accounting or Finance related disciplines
- Must be registered with Malaysia Institute of Accountants(MIA)
- Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in accounting or finance area
- Good knowledge of current accounting standards and applications with internal control experience
- Good understanding of financial accounting processes and systems
- Good team player with ability to work under pressure
- Conversant with Financial Reporting Standards
- Knowledge of US GAAP will be an added advantage
- Good team player with ability to work under pressure
- SAP experience will have added advantage
