2013 New Business Development MBA Intern- Somerville, NJ(Job Number: 000009JL)

Description

The Global Surgery Group, is recruiting for an MBA Intern to support one or more franchises. The MBA Intern, New Business Development (NBD) will report to a Director in the Global Surgery NBD team. The NBD team is charged with developing and executing license & acquisition strategies for the Global Surgery Franchises. This internship will occur over a 10-12 week period during the Summer of 2013 and can located in Somerville, NJ.

The MBA Intern's primary role will be to assist the Franchise NBD staff in assessing potential target companies, markets and technology. This individual will be assigned to specific projects in process at one (or more) of the Franchises and will help develop detailed understating of target markets from a financial and strategic point of view. The Intern would use public and private sources of information to develop comprehensive and useful information to assist in target assessment, competitive landscape and valuation activities. In addition, they will partner with other business functions including Marketing, Finance and R&D to ensure thorough evaluation of potential markets and targets.

Qualifications


In order to be eligible for this position, the MBA candidate will be enrolled in an accredited MBA Program with graduation planned for 2014. A minimum of 3 years relevant professional experience required. Experience in Marketing, Product Management, Market Research, Sales, Business Development, Licensing and Acquisitions, Professional Medical Education, or related field preferred.
Experience with detailed financial modeling and analysis is preferred.

Excellent analytical skills, and strong communication and inter-personal skills are required. Experience interfacing with all levels of management is required. Strong PC skills including Microsoft Office (primarily PowerPoint, Word and Excel) and database systems are required.
