The Quantitative Analyst will maintain and improve gas and electric pricing models, analyze model forecasts against actual results, engage in day to day pricing analysis, risk analysis and hedging analysis and coordinate the daily closing process. To be successful in this role, you will need: a solid mathematical background with experience analyzing and manipulating data utilizing statistical models as well as keen programming knowledge; the ability to see the big picture while also focusing on the details; an aptitude for working collaboratively to understand the needs of others and with IT to implement solutions. In addition, WGES values candidates with a history of job stability. Requirements: • BA/BS degree in Engineering, Finance, Math, Statistics, Economics or other quantitative discipline; Masters degree is preferred • 2+ years strong data analysis experience with the ability to work with large data sets • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel modeling-based functions • Proficiency with programming languages such as VBA or SQL At WGES, we choose our employees carefully and believe that the integrity, commitment and entrepreneurial spirit of our people have and will continue to drive our company’s success and growth.
