Qualifications
Required skills/experience:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of professional experience in multi-discipline software architecture
- 2+ years of experience in mobility engineering and architecture
- 2+ years of prior experience in developing and deploying mobile applications to Apple iOS and Android, vendor deployment portals and tools, and development tools (ObjectiveC / Xcode, Java, HTML5)
- Demonstrated ability to:
- Create a project plan, manage deadlines against that plan, and deliver quality results
- Work effectively within a matrix culture and organization
- Communicate complex, technical concepts to executive staff, business sponsors, and internal resources in clear, concise language that is tailored to each group
Desired skills/experience:
- Experience in the Agriculture or Biotech industries
- Experience with usability principles and user centric design
- Prior experience with Sybase Afaria deployment process is preferred
- Demonstrated in-depth understanding of:
- Industry trends, development products and environments, as well as best practices for mobile application design and development
- Mobile device and application security vulnerabilities and technical solutions to mitigate them
- Leading edge architecture and design patterns, programming practices, development standards, and testing methodologies
- Demonstrated past experience in the following areas:
- Mobile development, security, and deployment
- Mobile devices and device management
- Wireless communication
- Operating systems and related technologies for iOS, Android, RIM, Windows Mobile
- Integrating mobility management solutions with other corporate information, security, and access systems
