We are looking for an application team lead and a IBM mainframe technical expert who can perform technical Lead analysis work on support for core applications, new projects and enhancements to ensure that deliverables and SLA's are met, who will also work with off-shore and on-site programmers and application business partners and users.
Other key expectations include:
- Independently perform and Guide, assist or mentor others team members in 24x7 application support and testing.
- Maintain/track task list by application and those staff members assigned to complete them as well as your own task work.
- Participate in analysis and troubleshooting of problem definitions within business processes in order to define and write functional requirements and logical and physical technical specifications.
- Work with team to estimate work effort for application changes and new projects.
- Identify and escalate any issues that arise; communicate technical issues and project assignment statuses clearly.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in development of new programs/applications or maintaining and/or supporting existing programs/systems.
- Professional experience in leading a team on all aspects application/software development and production support activities.
- IT IBM Mainframe development and support experience,
- Participation of analysis and troubleshooting of problem definitions within business processes in order to define functional requirements and technical specifications.
- Creating and maintaining basic to complex project plans.
- Demonstrable working experience with Microsoft SQL Server components and database management skills, IBM DB2, SQL tools, ability to write and review SQL scripts, Enterprise Cobol programming including DB2 and CICS , SAS, SFTP processes , IBM JCL, MQ, HL7 messages, IBM utilities and mainframe tools.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Full knowledge of health care industry practices preferred and/or understanding of membership-based business.
