Support regional growth objectives by developing and managing a robust business-to-business focused engagement program. The Manager will be responsible for the development and execution of regional strategy, processes, and programs utilizing various modes of engagement with external business customers, prospects, and external organizations to enhance overall growth and retention efforts. This role will also develop and manage large-scale internal business meetings and events for Marketing Sales & Business Development.
Essential Functions:
- Develop and execute the annual regional business engagement strategy.
- Create and direct business engagements such as conventions, forums, seminars, councils, campaigns, events, meetings and other sponsored industry events in partnership with senior leaders, sales & account management, industry partners, business customers, and other external organizations. Includes responsibility for all logistics and financial management.
- Consults with clients to develop and maintain project plans that establish clear goals, identify key issues and milestones, approaches, set performance metrics and clarify resources required.
- Coordinate and manage multidisciplinary work teams, comprised of diverse groups including individuals from a wide range of organizational hierarchical levels, backgrounds, professions, and industries. Negotiate time commitments and resource allocation.
- Researches and initiates proposals, and recommends meeting themes, sites and special event activities that support strategic objectives.
- Provide direct oversight and coordinate the development of content, presentations, and all other forms of messaging and collateral to ensure materials and event is professional, coordinated, and appropriately reflect brand standards.
- Responsible for the creation, compilation, and submission of value outcome reporting for all events, meetings, sponsorships, and related activities.
- Responsible for coordinating the implementation of new systems and processes required to manage and enhance engagement activities and outcome reporting.
- Coordinates, Tracks, and provides outcomes for Account Management and Sales related projects.
- Provide inventory management and distribution of marketing apparel, supplies, displays, giveaways and other items.
- Manage and train staff and volunteers as needed for event execution.
- Compile data and perform quantitative and qualitative analyses as needed for both routine and ad-hoc reporting.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Two years of insurance or financial services experience.
- History of successful teamwork and leadership in team-oriented work settings.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, health care or other relevant field or equivalent related experience.
- Valid driver's license.
- Knowledge of sales and marketing techniques, legislative issues, rating methods, trends in the health care industry, and forecasting processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Proficient with MS office suite applications (Word, Excel, Power Point).
- Knowledge of Broker / Carrier relationships.
- Demonstrated customer service skills, customer focus abilities and the ability to understand Kaiser Permanente customer needs.
- Excellent verbal and written communications, including effective public speaking skill for both large and small audiences.
- Superior time-management and project management skills and ability to effectively manage a diverse workload with competing priorities and multiple deadlines.
- Ability to work autonomously and manage a flexible schedule to meet business needs. Position will require some scheduling to accommodate early morning, late evening, and even weekend engagements. Will require local business travel.
- Ability to manage complex events with multidisciplinary work teams.
- Must be able to engage and influence diverse groups including individuals from a wide range of organizational hierarchical levels, backgrounds, professions, and industries.
- Experience in contract negotiations, and knowledge of legal terminology used in contracts.
- Must be a creative and resourceful problem solver who can effectively manage a crisis in high pressure situations.
- Ability to maintain a working knowledge of multiple target audiences and communication plans and objectives.
- Ability to conduct, interpret and report quantitative and qualitative analyses and effectively communicate results.
- Must demonstrate initiative and excellent problem solving skills, and high aptitude of customer service
Preferred Qualifications:
- Four years health insurance experience.
- Health insurance sales and marketing experience in the local market.
