As a Senior Managing Consultant in our Operations and Supply Chain Distribution practice you will be expected to have strong experience in warehousing and distribution and an understanding of industry best practices in order to develop processes and business cases for clients. The ideal candidate will have direct involvement in the gathering of facts, analyzing the clientâ??s business, drawing conclusions, preparing final reports and giving presentations. As a Senior Managing Consultant you will also need to have experience in the implementation and configuration of the Manhattan Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or the Red Prairie Warehouse Management Systems. The Logistics Management Senior Managing Consultant will self-direct and provide leadership, direction, and mentoring to the team as well as manage client relationships. This individual will ensure that client milestones and deliverables are achieved.
This role involves gathering facts, analyzing the client's business (competitors, markets, customers, value propositions, operational models, etc), drawing conclusions, and reporting upon that work. Proficiency in developing channel and client relationships, assisting in identifying and closing new business, and developing thought leadership is required. This is a hands on sales and delivery role in a complex environment. Responsibilities include providing advice and counsel to clients, oversight and accountability for delivery success, and client satisfaction.
The Logistics Management Senior Managing Consultant will:
- Provide client and IBM team leadership in support of projects that span requirements, design, development, and deployment, as well as support sales efforts for new and future work;
- Lead and assist in the identification, development, and closure of sales efforts;
- Provide retail and consumer products industry guidance, strategies, and best practices;
- Maintain retail and consumer products industry references, approaches, IBM contacts and competitive analysis, in support of both general industry solutions and specific solutions for the Operations and Supply Chain clients;
- Build and lead internal communities of IBM industry practitioners;
- Define, develop and use repeatable consulting industry solutions;
- Transfer knowledge to local IBM teams through training and side-by-side engagement work.
This position requires up to 4 days of travel per week.

Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 4 years experience in Manhattan or Red Prairie Warehouse Management Systems.
- At least 4 years experience in the implementation and configuration of the Manhattan or Red Prairie Warehouse Management Systems.
- At least 3 years experience in distribution or transportation business processes within transportation/logistics.
- At least 2 years experience in the operations and processes relative to the integration of Manhattan products.
- At least 2 years experience in project management.
- At least 2 years experience in management consulting for a consulting and/or professional services firm(s)
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Fluent
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 8 years experience in Manhattan or Red Prairie Warehouse Management Systems.
