Job description

This position supports the metadata requirements of major projectâ??s by working with business resources and project teams to gather, format, load and validate metadata for the client Metadata Repository (WMR). The Metadata Analyst helps projects understand metadata capabilities and formulate requirements, estimate metadata tasks, build metadata reports, perform metadata testing, understand repository architecture, and is proficient in the use of repository tools and utilities.

1. Interface with project teams and business subject matter experts to gather, analyze, format, load and validate metadata for the WMR.
2. Understand, use and support Rochade tools and utilities while performing analyst duties.
3. Coordinate, prepare, test and promote metadata releases working in conjunction with the metadata architect and developers.
4. Perform regular metadata scans, comparison and quality reporting.
5. Prepare metadata metrics reports.
6. Prepare training material and train end users in the proper use of the WMR.
7. Build, test and promote metadata ad-hoc reports.
8. Run metadata QA processes preparing impact reports and working with metadata stakeholders to resolve issues.
9. Performs metadata maintenance tasks.
10. Develops and maintains metadata related standards and procedures.
11. Create test cases and perform SIT and UAT testing efforts.

Required

• Bachelor's Degree
• At least 2 years experience in Demonstrated expertise in metadata concepts
• At least 2 years experience in Training and or experience with Allen Systems Group (ASG) Rochade metadata repository package.
• At least 2 years experience in Working knowledge of relational databases (Teradata, DB2 UDB, Oracle, etc).
• At least 2 years experience in Familiarity with mainframe development and databases (IMS, DB2 for mainframe, etc.).
• At least 2 years experience in Strong SQL skills
• English: Basic knowledge

Preferred

• At least 5 years experience in Demonstrated expertise in metadata concepts
• At least 5 years experience in Training and or experience with Allen Systems Group (ASG) Rochade metadata repository package.
• At least 5 years experience in Working knowledge of relational databases (Teradata, DB2 UDB, Oracle, etc).
