Job description

As a Sterling Commerce Configuration Consultant you will create and design technical and functional architectures for the deployment of the Sterling Commerce/IBM supply chain software solutions. Our clients and project teams will look to you as the expert for Order Management (Sterling) software configuration. You'll ensure the overall quality of the software configuration as well as provide input on the application design, development, testing, and deployment to meet the clientâ??s business requirements and satisfaction.

Desired skills include:

â?¢Demonstrated detailed knowledge of Sterling Commerce Order Management software.
â?¢ Ability to implement the solution technical design and software configurations, product extensions, interfaces, etc.
â?¢ Sterling Commerce/IBM Selling and Fulfillment Suite implementation expertise including supporting the system architecture design, application functionality and design, development, testing, and deployment.
â?¢ Senior level client management skills.
â?¢ Excellent communications skills.
â?¢ Consultative approach and demeanor to artfully communicate and formulate win/win resolutions to issues and business challenges.
â?¢ Leadership skills that attracts others to follow and seek advice.
â?¢ Pro-active drive to contribute ideas and know how to others and the organization to create product strategy and roadmaps, best practices and solution development.
â?¢ Technical skills including Java development, application server and database knowledge.

Required
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 1 year experience in Implementing Sterling Commerce product
  • At least 1 year experience in Java, J2EE and object oriented technologies
  • At least 1 year experience in Working with a software development methodology
  • At least 1 year experience in Solution design
  • At least 1 year experience in Supply Chain implementations, system integration and consulting
  • Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
  • English: Intermediate


Preferred
  • At least 3 years experience in Implementing Sterling Commerce product
  • At least 3 years experience in Java, J2EE and object oriented technologies
  • At least 3 years experience in Working with a software development methodology
  • At least 3 years experience in A lead consultant / developer role working on complex projects
  • At least 2 years experience in Solution design
  • At least 3 years experience in Supply Chain implementations, system integration and consulting
