SAP Financial Consolidations Sr. Consultant will be responsible for successful delivery of the planning and consolidation solutions to our clients. The candidate should have excellent insights to functional and technical aspect of SAP software components which includes SAP Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) 7.0, 7.5 & 10.
Responsibilities include, using knowledge of leading practices for accounting function. Should have strong insights to General Ledger, Asset accounting, controlling and profitability process areas. Exposure to compliance and statutory reporting requirements, IFRS and GAAP accounting rules is a must. The BPC Sr. Consultant will use formal methodologies during requirements gathering, design, build/test and deployment. Responsibilities include using knowledge of leading practices within the month end close and consolidation process as well as proven experience applying and maintaining internal controls, SOX requirements and GAAP within the month end close and consolidation process.
In addition to consolidations, the BPC Sr. Consultant should also be able to configure BPC to be used for Planning functionality. He should be able to configure key planning utilities in SAP including Input Schedules, Allocations and Forecast Models.
Candidate should be able to advice clients on solution architecture. Candidate should have prior hands on experience around account reconciliations between legal entities reconciliations issues, improve planning and month end closing process and be able to liaison between client auditors and counterparts.
Use of formal system implementation methodologies during project prep, requirements gathering, design, build/test and deployment is required. Product configuration knowledge of the SAP FI-GL, SAP Fixed Assets, SAP BPC and SAP BI tool is a must.
Key Capabilities of Role:
Design and interpretation of reporting architecture for SAP BI
Understanding of SAP ECC data structures and interfaces to SAP BI
BPC administration experience
Design and configuration experience for Interunit Eliminations, reposting, allocation, organizational changes, consolidation of investments etc
Report and Input schedules design and development
Knowledge of Script Logic
Exposure to other EPM tools like Cognos, Hyperion or other consolidations like SEM-BCS and process integration between financial and planning scenarios is a plus.
Certificate in Finance/ Accounting / MBA /CPA is strongly desired along with previous financial accounting and analysis experience. This position requires excellent communication skills, ability to interact with senior managers and executives of client companies and a proven track record managing, designing and implementing change in complex businesses. The candidate must be a team player, able to lead or manage a project as well as be able to work independently. 100% travel required.
Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 2 years experience in Financial Consolidation and Reporting Process knowledge.
- At least 2 years experience in Planning and/or Financial Consolidations technical solution experience (including SAP BPC, SAP ECCS, SEM-BCS, OutlookSoft).
- Readiness to travel Up to 3 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 4 years experience in Financial Consolidation and Reporting Process knowledge.
- At least 4 years experience in Planning and/or Financial Consolidations technical solution experience (including SAP BPC, SAP ECCS, SEM-BCS, OutlookSoft).
