Job description
The Sterling Order Management Project Manager is responsible for managing large teams and delivering complex Sterling Software based order management projects or programs. Translates customer requirements into formal agreements and plans which culminate in client acceptance of results. Expert knowledge of the business unit's mission and processes is desired, specifically Application Innovation Services and custom development. This position requires a strong understanding of order management and fulfillment processes.
The Sterling Order Management Project Manager is also responsible for performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality, and appropriate business measurements for their project, according to their project charter. In applicable areas of the business, overall responsibility for revenue and profit objectives of the project. Has extensive professional knowledge of market segment / industry / technology / discipline trends. Recognized for business acumen by the customer set supported. Extensive working knowledge of IBM strategy and the ability to apply that understanding to influence or guide project stakeholders. Works independently on most actions. Experience working multi-site development and global resources. PM process methods experience including Rapid or Agile development. Advanced communication skills including experience in building Senior Executive relationships.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 3 years experience in Large/complex consulting/client management - Director level and above
- At least 1 year experience in Managing mutli-phased implementations of the Sterling Order Management Suite
- At least 2 years experience in Managing and delivering multi-phase software deployment and custom application development projects
- At least 2 years experience in Global Delivery Model or Solutioning skills
- At least 3 years experience in Working functional/technical knowledge of PM tools and processes including Agile/Rapid Deployment
- At least 1 year experience in Order management and fulfillment
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Intermediate
Preferred
- At least 5 years experience in Large/complex consulting/client management - Director level and above
- At least 3 years experience in Managing mutli-phased implementations of the Sterling Order Management Suite
- At least 3 years experience in Managing and delivering multi-phase software deployment and custom application development projects
