Job description
The Electronics Business Solution Professional (BSP) will be responsible for driving all demand generation/business development activities including identifying, qualifying and assisting in the closing of US based opportunities within the Electronics industry. This position will have a specific focus on Semiconductor, Semiconductor Equipment and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) clients.
This professional must have broad expertise in Electronics and/or Semiconductor, Semiconductor Equipment and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) within a corporate, sales and marketing and/or supply chain/distribution environment. Strong skills and proven results in positions requiring significant self direction, motivation, leadership and collaboration in a highly matrixed organization including account teams, consulting, software and systems sales is also required. Broad working knowledge of the Electronics industry will be critical to this position. The preferred candidate will have experience interacting directly with clients including Senior Business and IT Executives, leaders and stakeholders.
In addition, the candidate must have the following qualifications:
- Strong customer-facing skills including: communication (written and orals), presentations skills, financial, and business justification skills.
- Ability to foster strong bonds and working partnerships with client-facing IBM teams.
- Strong leadership skills and self motivation.
- Ability to articulate client business value and consultative selling approaches.
- Hardware, software and services knowledge and the experience needed to support the business solution.
- Ability to work in a matrix environment, as well as operate independently while building a successful sales pipeline.
- Cross brand solutions knowledge.
- Understanding of key partner and competitor offerings which compliment and/or overlap IBM's solutions and services portfolio.
- Experience in developing executive level business proposals and/or delivering service deals.
- Experience in deploying/delivering transformation projects and/or software solutions.
- Deep understanding or the ability to adapt to the IBM coverage model and brand structure.
- Ability to lead opportunities that involve cross-brand offerings.
- Ability to interact with IBM Software Solutions/Services Partners including SAP and Oracle.
- Understanding of or ability to adapt to a global consulting services operating model.

Required
- High School Diploma/GED
- At least 5 years experience in the Electronics and/or Semiconductor, Semiconductor Equipment and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industries.
- At least 5 years experience in a corporate and/or sales and marketing and/or supply chain/distribution enviornment.
- At least 1 year experience in corporate transformation and/or software deployment.
- At least 3 years experience in interacting with and/or presenting to corporate executives and/or clientele.
- Readiness to travel Up to 4 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- Master's Degree
- At least 8 years experience in the Electronics and/or Semiconductor, Semiconductor Equipment and Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) industries.
- At least 8 years experience in a corporate and/or sales and marketing and/or supply chain/distribution enviornment.
- At least 5 years experience in corporate transformation and/or software deployment.
- At least 5 years experience in interacting with and/or presenting to corporate executives and/or clientele.
- English : Fluent
