Position Overview
Janssen Inc. is looking to fill a Medical Information Associate - 12 month contract in our Medical Information department. The position will be based in Toronto, Ontario
Key responsibilities:
Respond to medical/ scientific queries from health-care professionals, consumers and internal business partners
Prepare and maintain up-to-date product literature, including standard and research medical information responses, prescribing information and product summaries
Report adverse events and product complaints on JOI marketed products to Drug Safety & Surveillance and Product Complaints departments according to procedures and timelines established in SOPs
Work closely with internal business partners on the development, review and approval, and implementation of promotional material, medical marketing, and continuing health education projects
Active participation and contribution to cross-functional strategic business partnering teams (e.g. Sales & Marketing, Clinical Communications, Medical Government Affairs, Regulatory Affairs)
Assist in internal personnel training on therapeutic area and product specific knowledge
Establish and maintain expertise in designated therapeutic areas
Qualifications
Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Nursing or Life Sciences
Diabetes therapeutic area expertise
Diabetes educator certification will be an asset
Experience in a pharmaceutical industry medical information function, or, experience in a drug information /pharmaceutical care centre hospital setting
Ability to research, interpret and translate complex scientific information into professional communications to external health care professionals, and internal business partners
Superior attention to accuracy and details
Strong communication (verbal, written), presentation, and project management skills
Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team settings
Computer literacy (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Reference Manager, XML, Sharepoint, Databases)
