Janssen Research & Development LLC, a Johnson & Johnson company, is recruiting for a Programming Manager with a specific focus on the field of Oncology located in Los Angeles, CA.

Janssen Research & Development, L.L.C. develops treatments that improve the health and lifestyles of people worldwide. Research and development areas encompass novel targets in neurologic disorders, gastroenterology, oncology, infectious disease, diabetes, hematology, metabolic disorders, immunologic disorders, and reproductive medicine.

The company's oncology portfolio includes Abiraterone Acetate (Zytiga), which has was recently approved in the US, Canada and Europe for the treatment of patients with metastatic castration-resistant prostate cancer (mCRPC) who have received docetaxel chemotherapy. Another ongoing Zytiga company sponsored trials include: Phase III clinical trial in chemotherapy-naïve mCRPC is ongoing and phase III studies in earlier indications are being developed; combination studies with docetaxel and other agents; and a randomized Phase II trial in breast cancer has just been initiated. Registration-directed Zytiga clinical trials form the treatment of prostate cancer are ongoing in Japan, China and other countries in Asia-Pacific. A pediatric program for the treatment of congenital adrenal hyperplasia associated with excessive androgen production has also been initiated. Other late stage programs at JNJ include Velcade, Siltuximab and Yondelis.

The Programming Manager will be responsible for the planning and execution of programming activities (development, quality control and documentation) in support of departmental projects.The Programming Manager responsibilities include: Plan programming deliverables for a single project. He/She will develop programs in support of complex clinical trial activities. The Programming Manager will Review and provide input into project requirements. The successful candidate will develop detailed programming strategy and provide project specific guidance to programming team members. The Programming Manager will drive programming activities to ensure quality and on-time deliverables.

Qualifications


The qualified candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or other scientific discipline with 6 years experience programming and analyzing scientific data, preferably in a pharmaceutical and/or clinical trial environment. Experience with FDA and ICH guidelines is preferred. Experience with SAS is required. Experience with project management and working with cross functional teams is desired. This position is located in Los Angeles, CA.
