Associate Account Manager-National Accounts

Summary:
The Associate Account Manager is accountable for driving customer loyalty within a defined book of business as well as developing and executing enrollment strategies within those client accounts. The Associate Account Manager will establish and maintain relationships with front line benefit contacts at the customer organization as well as the consultants that support the client. The successful candidate will be able to manage complex projects on behalf of Kaiser Permanente and our client organizations, including the installation of business expansions that have been sold within the account.
The Associate Account Manager will manage client requests and service issues, play a key role in the annual renewal process and provide front line supervision of the Account Team Specialist.
Essential Functions:
- Accountable for continuously improving our business relationship by effectively managing the administrative and process requirements for national accounts.
- Establish and maintain relationships with front line benefit contacts that support business strategies.
- Manage business processes that support achieving and maintaining optimal business position.
- Monitor accounts and book-of-business to identify early indications of risks and opportunities.
- Proactively optimize administrative efficiency with customers.
- Effectively consult with front line benefits contacts to demonstrated value and build commitment to KP.
- Research and compile information requested to support customer needs and account strategy.
- Solve routine purchaser problems. Manage accurate account administration.
- Manage contract implementation of group renewal process following renewal sale.
- Manage and monitor RFP process for account manager.
- Use resources and tools to ensure successful implementation of account strategies.
- Communicate customer issues regarding accounts and book-of-business to account manager accurately and within specified time frame.
- Propose activities that target opportunities to position us for future growth.
- Collect, review and monitor performance data to support account strategy.
- Set up and monitor payment and eligibility processes for customers.
- Proactively educate customers about KP payment options and eligibility requirements.
- Monitor payment and eligibility practices of national purchasers to proactively identify financial performance.
- Identify and propose optimal solutions to customer requests for customized administrative processes.
- Engage customer/consultant to develop and execute 365 engagement plan that meets the customer's business goals and maximizes KP's access to employees.
Manage account implementation activities.
Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or 4 years of added equivalent experience required.
- 5+ years experience in sales, account management and or marketing preferably in the health insurance or benefits consulting industry. Customer service and account administration skills required.
- Highly proficient in the use of Excel and PowerPoint.
- Appropriate State Insurance license required or ability to obtain one within 120 days of hire date.
