The Testing Support and Metrics team provides enterprise-wide support for HP-Quality Center application. Quality Center is used for testing, development and business groups to track release statistics, store requirements, build test cases and manage defects. It is in effect multiple applications in one, whose components can be used independently or together. This position will provide technical support, on-going maintenance, development and delivery of enhancements/upgrades of Quality Center application, Development and maintenance of departmental website, Report development from within and outside the application.

Essential Functions:
- Includes development and production support responsibilities.
- Development work including the creation ofnew programs/applications to support a business need; project-based processes involving all aspects of the project life cycle from inception to implementation, conducted internally or through a vendor-supported program/applications; and ongoing maintenance of the program/application.
- Production support work focuses on maintaining and/or supporting existing programs/systems centered on enhancements to the existing application/system, and responding to user/client problems and issues with the application/system.
- Serves as subject matter expert (SME) on own program/application/system.
- Acts as first point of escalation for technical decisions and problems, and leads technical analyses for efficient program/application solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements.
- Oversees all coding and work quality reviews.
- Responsibilities impact the achievement of key functional and/or KP objectives that have direct and significant business impact.
- Contributes to the development of the department's objectives.
- Involves interpreting and analyzing established concepts and trends.
- Acts as first point of escalation for technical decisions.
- Requires complex decision-making and understanding of business risks.
- Develops solutions to a diverse range of complex problems, which require creativity and innovation within broadly defined policies and practices.
- Focuses primarily on solving technical problems, and typically acts as first point of escalation to solve technical problems.
- Requires in-depth analysis to identify and recommend new solutions for more complex problems.
- Helps design and select techniques and provides direction to less experienced resources.
- Work is evaluated upon completion to ensure objectives and performance requirements have been met.
- Provides on-going coaching and mentoring, enabling team members to develop and improve skills and capabilities that support the effectiveness of the department and/or function.
- Serves as a key technical/professional mentor to team members, particularly in own area of expertise.
- Typically provides performance input and recommendations to management for development/training plans and/or performance reviews.


Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in related field and/or 4 years of equivalent work experience.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in development of new programs/applications or maintaining and/or supporting existing programs/systems.
-5+ years of software development experience using Microsoft client server technologies with experience in .Net
- Experience in the development and maintenance of websites
- Strong experience in scripting
- Strong experience in writing complex SQL queries
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in using APIs, especially for Quality Center
-Experience in Quality Center Project Administration including Workflow code creation/maintenance
-Experience with Rally
-Experience in using open source technologies
-Integration experience with two or more applications
-Experience in using Quality Center and QTP
