Janssen Global Services, L.L.C. (JGS), Worldwide Market Access function, is recruiting for a Director, Health Economics who will act as a Compound Market Access Leader. The position can be based in Horsham, PA or Raritan, NJ.

Worldwide Market Access collaborates with Global Strategic Marketing, Pharmaceutical Research & Development, and our Operating Companies around the Globe to enable Worldwide Market Access and Utilization for our healthcare innovations. Worldwide Market Access is located in several places in New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Belgium (Europe).

The Compound Market Access Leader (CMAL) is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of market access activities for pharmaceutical products in early development Phase I/III and commercialization. For the assigned product(s), the CMAL serves as the leading market access resource and is an active member of the global clinical & commercial teams for product(s). They may also interact with Phase IV Outcomes Research & Medical Affairs teams on outcomes studies, as well as internal policy teams on macroeconomic and legislative trends relevant to their compound.

The CMAL will be responsible for ensuring that the product development programs fully demonstrate the economic value of innovative products to payers, physicians and patients. This includes both strategic advice to teams on patient populations, trial design, selection of relevant endpoints, as well as ensuring timely implementation of study protocols, case report forms, monitoring protocols, statistical analyses plans, etc. In addition, they will be responsible for the design and management of health economic related studies including: systematic literature reviews, retrospective database analyses, prospective physician or patient studies, and cost-effectiveness and budget impact models.

Qualifications


The qualified candidate will have a minimum of a Ph.D., Pharm.D, MD, or M.Sc. in appropriate field (preferably Epidemiology, Health Economics, Economics/Commerce, Public Admin/Health Services Research) with equivalent level of professional experience is required. At least 5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry with a focus in Health Economics is required. Experience in immunology and/or oncology is preferred. The candidate should have a good understanding and/or experience of the reimbursement environment for key international markets and experience with building Global/ Regional Health Economics & Pricing dossiers and/or reimbursement submissions to managed care or national authorities.

Up to 15% domestic and international travel is required. This position will be based in Horsham, PA or Raritan, NJ
