Finance Business Process Expert (SAP)

Within the FIS Business-/SAP support team key responsibility of this position is to act as service provider for all financial business process related topics and to represent Campus Finance Switzerland organization in all kinds of SAP related projects at local, sector, regional and global enterprise level. In scope are basically all SAP R/3 FI and CO based processes as well as the business responsibility for SAP BI based analytics.

Key objective of the position is to collect business requirements, conducts feasibility/ impact analysis in order to translate business requirements into sustainable SAP based process design in close cooperation with the various J&J IT teams. In addition this position is meant to be responsible for monitoring finance related interfaces having specific focus on the P2P/AP area.

1. Key duties
- Key user for initiating and translating financial business decisions into user requirements which are necessary for the action taken in IM. Close coordination and excellent relationship with IM is necessary to ensure that financial business requirements are met.
- Collect financial system enhancements, reporting and data extract requests. Work with IM to outline business requirements and specifications. Assist IM with the development of detailed technical specifications. Coordinates quality assurance, user acceptance testing, documentation and signoff on resulting work.
- Lead and manage small to medium sized, systems and non-system projects and participate as a key resource in all kinds of system related projects.
- Ensure that SAP systems are functioning effectively and recommend improvements for financial processes for different SAP systems.
- Provide first level support for end users (cross sector) for several SAP R/3 systems (FI, CO/COPA, SD/MM), SAP BI, Procurement tool (cross systems). Coordinate the escalation of problems to IM when appropriate.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships within and outside the business that lead to a thorough understanding of current business needs and contribute to the business goals and plans.
- Support financial close activities

2. Other duties
- Monitor all financial/procurement data flows between several SAP and other systems to ensure that all data are in sync.
- Develop BI queries to support more efficient reports for the business
- Initiate remote sessions to provide training and assist users in resolving issues.
- Provide ad-hoc training for several SAP R/3, BI systems and other office tools
- Create or Coordinate the preparation and maintenance of user manuals and other related documentation.
- Support financial report possibilities in several financial systems

Qualifications

- University (or equivalent) degree in business administration, business informatics or a related field
- 5-8 Years of proven SAP R/3 FI/CO experience
- SAP BI experience (focus on analytics)
- Extensive knowledge of the English language
- Extensive knowledge of reading and speaking in German
- Extensive knowledge in several office tools
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of the financial business process
- Ability to plan and manage small and larger projects
- Ability to take ownership of tasks and drive them through to completion
- Strong analytical, problem solving and conceptual thinking skills
- Ability to work under pressure in meeting deadlines and changing priorities
- Very good communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse project teams, inspire teamwork and take a leadership role
