MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

As Assistant Brand Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing specific product portfolio's innovation pipeline including participation in applicable new product launches. You will be responsible for establishing the objectives and strategies on several focus areas of the business, with responsibilities that span all key functional areas of those segments including product, promotion, pricing, packaging and merchandising. You will assist in the development and execution of the business plan for the brand, including participating in evaluating, analysing and communicating in-market results, and making recommendations relevant to your brand to senior management. You will play an important and active role in many significant strategic projects.

This is a complex, multi-faceted role where you will play an important and active part in many strategic projects. You will get exposure to innovation and new product launches, the artwork development process, and all elements of the marketing mix (TV advertising, Secondary Media, Online advertising, Professional Marketing, Public Relations, Consumer Sampling, In-store Promotional Programs, Direct-To-Consumer Programs). A key aspect will be to work in a team environment with other marketers, and a variety of cross functional teams, including global partners, sales, regulatory affairs, operations, and external agencies.

Qualifications


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

We are seeking people with 12-18 months of experience in a similar role (summer/co-op experience will be considered). You must be innovative and consumer-focused. An MBA - Commerce or Marketing - or M.Sc. in the appropriate field, is preferred. Candidates with a relevant undergraduate degree may also be considered. A strong performer and high achiever, with a strategic, forward looking approach to all you do, you should have strong inter-personal communications, a high sense of urgency, and a high level of initiative and intellectual curiosity. Strong analytical skills and superior oral and written communication skills in English are also required. You must have good influencing skills and have the ability to deal with multiple projects and priorities, in a dynamic, fast-paced and team-oriented environment. Some knowledge of statistics and research methods is beneficial. Proficiency with the main computer tools including web applications, MS Office applications and other database applications is also required.
