This group partners with The Permanente Company and Permanente Medical and other Kaiser medical groups around the country to foster clinical systems development.

Essential Functions:

- Managing successful project delivery through disciplined project management processes and close collaboration with the business partners, project realization team and the various IT Function.
- Managing large complex projects or multiple projects of moderate comlexity.
- Managing matrix project members to Full Lifecycle and Agile application delivery.
- Developing and managing budget tracking and accurate financial forecast (+/-3% variance).
- Providing project status reports to various audiences.
- Documenting, organizing and managing project deliverables, scope and content, including all decisions.
- Establishing coordination across projects to ensure adequate resource availability and delivery commitments.
- Participates in integrated systems planning and recommends alternative technologies that will enhance current or anticipated information systems that support overall corporate and business goals.
- Negotiates agreements on project schedule and budgets.
- Tracks and reports on project and deliverable status and manages variances.
- Facilitates risk management planning, identification planning and control for projects commensurate with these projects.
- Develops and manages issue escalation and the resolution process
- Monitoring and managing vendor performance to ensure contract commitments are met, as required.
- Ensures project alignment with business strategy and architecture.

Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- 8+ years of application project management experience with at least 3+ years experience managing implementations of large-scale projects with multi-million dollar budgets
- Experienced in supporting complex Call Center technology environments.
- The ability to manage multiple large multi-disciplined cross-functional implementations with budgets up to $15million and matrixed teams and a combined project team of 50+ FTE and/or consultants.
- Extensive experience developing high quality Microsoft project plans, leading projects of complex scope, assuring that the project adheres to internal lifecycle methodologies.
- Experienced risk taker with the ability to make appropriate decisions for diverse, sophisticated, and undefined issues.
- Experience tailoring communication plans to meet specific audience needs.
- The ability to influence others; build strong partnerships with others
- The ability to communicate clearly and concisely, able to tailor the communication to the audience i.e. high level and detailed.
- Experienced in managing and escalating project issues.
- The ability to work under pressure and in challenging settings. Must be Assertive.
- The ability to act independently to determine methods and procedures on new or special assignments. May supervise the activities of others.
- Willingness to travel up to 20%
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the software delivery process; Broad expertise or unique project management knowledge to achieve goals in creative and effective ways, experience in client relationship management.
- Bachelor's degrees in Computer Science, Information Systems Management, or related field
- Project Management (PMP) certification or equivalent,
- Experience in health plan environments desired.
