Solution Consultant for the development of Laboratory IT Strategy for new product requests in clinical solution design team. This position will work directly with Director of Solution design and regional partners to assist in development of clinical and anatomic laboratory application design and solution.

Essential Functions:
- This position exists within Care Delivery Laboratory Sub-Portfolio.
- Act as the Laboratory Sub-portfolio Systems principal consultant with a primary focus on new clinical application solution, but will assist in all aspects of solution consulting and design for Laboratory Sub-portfolio.
- Work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders through the KPIT organization communicating, sharing and coordinating work to ensure delivery of the standards and technology of the laboratory Sub-portfolio.
- Interact with business stakeholders during product design, selection, innovation studies and project delivery.
- Participate in laboratory vendor integrated systems planning to support overall corporate and business goals, and ensure integration of system architecture with vendor releases and infrastructure changes, and recommendations on product functionality.
- Coordinate the development of the plan/strategy to support the overall business strategy of the Kaiser Permanente laboratory enterprise. This will include coordination of various shared technical services within KPIT to deliver laboratory systems per the program's multi-year plan; evolution of new product requests for impacts and modifications to the existing infrastructure plan/strategy and consult business stakeholders on new product selection requests.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a minimum of 4 years of equivalent experience.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in solutions consulting including defining requirements, developing solution alternatives and estimates and translating client's business requirements into specific systems, applications or process designs for large complex IT solutions.
- 4-5 year experience as a Medical technologist or Clinical Lab scientist
