Ortho Clinical Diagnostics is currently recruiting for a Staff Process Excellence Engineer to be based in Raritan, NJ.

The Staff Process Excellence Engineer is responsible for leading and implementing key business improvement projects at the site. He/She Leads, analyzes, designs, and improves business processes by enlisting and influencing cross-functional teams delivering tangible business results through the application of Six Sigma and Lean principles, methodologies and tools. Utilizing the business, leadership and technical skills, the Lean Champion will both execute projects and mentor project team members and business partners on process excellence tools/methodologies.

Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for leading and deploying process performance improvements around Quality, Product Supply, and Cost.

Collaborate and partner with stakeholders across multiple functions.

Responsible for developing Lean and Six Sigma capabilities through coaching and mentoring

Create sustained business improvement results through the application of DMAIC, Lean and ME2.

Assist in management of the PE Trainings, Certifications, Re-Certifications and Savings as required

Follows and observes all regulatory requirements (GMP's, ISO, FDA, internal policies) applicable to area of responsibility.

Comply with J&J Safety Requirement and safe working conditions and practices in the department.

Responsible for developing and implementing process improvements using Lean Manufacturing, Six-Sigma, and Manufacturing Maintenance Excellence principles/tools within the site.

Other responsibilities may be assigned & not all responsibilities listed may be assigned.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelors degree is required in an Engineering or Science discipline.

A minimum of 6 years overall business experience in a regulated environment is required.

A minimum of 2 years experience in six sigma and Lean methodologies is preferred.

A minimum of 2 years experience as a Project Manager of cross-functional teams is preferred.

Lean or Six Sigma green belt certification required; Black Belt preferred

Able to deliver oral and written communications around process improvement projects that has clarity and impact.

Organized, analytical approach to problem solving. Some familiarity with FDA, GMP and ISO requirements. Strong computer skills - Microsoft Office, Visio. Working knowledge and demonstrated ability in project management.

Ability to audit production areas identifies non-compliance to requirements, and develop/oversee action plans for corrective action. In depth knowledge of such matters such as labor relations, manufacturing methods, production planning and assembly. In-depth understanding of accounting (standard cost), QSR/ISO requirements, trend analysis and failure rate analysis.

In depth understanding of production and quality control techniques such as CFM, JIT, TQM, CIM, etc.

Must understand and have ability to analyze market requirements and opportunities for product lines.
