Biosense Webster is currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to be based in Diamond Bar, CA.

Candidate will be part of the Advanced Research and Development department. This department is responsible for the development of the next generation of products for the company. Ideal candidate will be skilled in various engineering disciplines. Candidate will lead and provide guidance in prototype development and verification/validation, including material specifications, assembly drawings and manufacturing documentation. Supports the creation of the test plan, device limitations and their acceptance criteria. Interfaces with external business partners as needed. Mentor technicians and junior engineers. Travel to observe procedures, attend sponsored meetings and meet with customers, business partners and/or suppliers.

Qualifications


A Bachelors degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent discipline with a minimum of 5 years industry experience or a Masters degree and 3 years of industry experience is required. Experience with Solid Works or other AutoCAD software is required. Experience designing plastic parts and mechanisms is preferred. Experience with GMP's and other regulatory requirements is preferred. Experience leading, working and communicating effectively with other engineers, designers, physicians, marketers and suppliers to develop products from concept through commercialization in a cross-functional team is preferred. Experience with product development over several projects from concept stage to commercial release is preferred. Ability to use PC and associated software. Knowledge of purchasing systems. Complete understanding and wide application of technical principals, theories and concepts in the field. General knowledge of other related disciplines. In-depth knowledge of materials and metals. Strong problem solving and analytical skills as well as ability to work . Effective oral, written communication and presentation skills. Exercises good judgment when communicating to all levels in the business organization. Must be able to handle multiple tasks/projects and manage project closure even when results depend on others. Must be flexible in a changing professional environment
