JOB TITLE: Financial Analyst

DEPARTMENT: DePuy Ireland Financial Reporting & Compliance

REPORTS TO: Ireland & UK Finance Manager

JOB PURPOSE:

Provide financial accounting and analytical support to the Financial Reporting & Compliance team within DePuy Ireland.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in DePuy Ireland's (GSC & Manufacturing) financial close process:

o Preparing and processing journals/accruals

o GL integrity

o Balance sheet reconciliations

o Month-end SOX controls

o Preparation of DePuy Ireland's Financial Statements
- Assist in DePuy Ireland's (GSC & Manufacturing) month-end reporting process:

o Consolidate the P&L for DePuy Ireland's Operations

o Bridge the actual results to latest forecast

o Quarter-end reporting to Corporate Accounting

o Issue Monthly Management Reports

o Issue cost centre reports for Global Supply Chain

o Quarterly CSO returns
- Business Partner DePuy Ireland's Innovation Centre

o Preparation of R&D tax credits

o Grant claims preparation & submission
- Sarbanes Oxley

o Lead Sarbanes Oxley co-ordination role on behalf of DePuy Ireland reporting directly to MD&D EMEA Compliance Manager for this part of the role.

o Responsible for key DePuy Ireland SOX cycles i.e. performance of controls, testing, and maintenance of documentation, policies, procedures and controls.
- Assist in the preparation of Business Plans and Latest Estimate submissions.
- Miscellaneous

o Perform any other duties as required from time to time

o To adhere to company's procedures at all times

o Ensure all quality and health & safety policies are adhered to

Qualifications


REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS
- Qualified Accountant - CIMA / ACA / ACCA
- Minimum 2 years post qualification experience in an accounting position, preferably in industry
- Experience on a computerized accounting package - ideally JD EDWARDS
- Excellent interpersonal skills, be a team player and willing to work in a flexible environment
