ETHICON Energy's diverse suite of ultrasonic and advanced bipolar energy devices are used to cut and seal tissue and vessels in open and laparoscopic surgical procedures. ETHICON Energy's portfolio consists of market leading HARMONIC® ultrasonic devices that empower surgeons to handle multiple jobs with superior precision and the rapidly growing ENSEAL® advanced bipolar devices that assure superior tissue sealing.

ETHICON Energy devices enable customers to achieve superior outcomes with solutions that deliver strong clinical & economic value propositions, superior tissue effects and intuitive use. The versatility and effectiveness of these devices enables them to be used in a wide range of minimally invasive surgical procedures including: Bariatric, Colorectal, General, Gynecologic, Head and Neck, Plastic, Thoracic, Orthopedic and Urology.

The Global Energy business works closely with surgeons and hospital providers from around the world to develop and market new innovative surgical devices that improve patient outcomes.

The Senior Marketing Manager - Global Energy Innovation Roadmap is responsible for managing brand strategies and multiple product lines and procedures. Develop and deliver associated marketing plans to drive growth. The Senior Manager will develop and launch new products / platforms with significant strategic and business impact. Prepare strategic business assessments spanning multiple brands (existing/new), platforms or procedures.

Responsibilities may include:

Develop long term brand strategies and pipeline and plan for the purpose of adoption share and revenue of Energy devices:

Leadership of the Innovation Roadmap process to drive future expansion/pipeline.

Responsible for significant/multiple products/product line/procedures with large global responsibility.

Development of marketing strategy and plans (positioning, place, price and promotion).

Develops and executes brand strategy to achieve specific marketing objectives/outcomes.

Builds strong alignment with partners and staff to deliver strategy and business plans for assigned products and procedures or platforms.

Influences large cross functional teams.

Develop and launch major product (platforms) that are significant drivers the business unit growth.

Work across major franchises to ensure alignment on goals, objectives and strategies for assigned procedures

Build brand equity by ensuring discipline on positioning.

Ensure continued claims development for brands.

Develop a pipeline of future leaders, by:

Coaching and developing Marketing Managers in marketing competencies and GLP growth.

Identify and recruit talent in partnership with HR and organizational partners.

In case of direct report, ensure they have a development plan and understand what their job is every day.

Implement above programs as appropriate in partnership with HealthCare Reimbursement, Sales, Market Development, Corporate Accounts, and Corporate Communications

Qualifications


A bachelors degree is required, MBA/advanced degree is preferred

At least 7 years of business experience is required

A minimum 4 years marketing experience is required

Prior product launch experience is preferred

Familiarity with Medical Device Products is preferred

Familiarity with Energy and related surgical procedures is preferred

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

Demonstrated marketing skills creating value propositions, strategies, and plans that succeed in a dynamic market are required

Upstream/conception to development experience is preferred

Prior experience translating insights at early stage marketing is preferred.
