Job Text

Plan, design and conduct various commercial research studies as directed by the Commercial Insights Manager. This includes analysis of primary and syndicated data sources to address key issues concerning MillerCoors brand performance and competitive products.   Synthesize multiple data sources to drive strategic recommendations and provide analysis and associated recommendations to the Insights organization, Brand/Channel team and Senior Management.   Typical studies include incrementality estimation, trial/repeat assessment, opportunity identification, same-store analyses, match-panel testing, etc.

Key Elements
Research Strategy
§ Translate key business issues into strategic understanding gaps that can be addressed with research and/or data
§ Provide actionable strategic insights and prescriptive recommendations for Brand, Channel, Customer or Innovation teams
Analysis
§ Determine the analysis or research technique employed to answer key strategic questions
§ Design approach and secure solution from internal and/or external data source
§ Synthesizes various   tracking studies for deriving applicable insights for Brand, Channel and Customer teams.
Planning
§ Align against plans for work-flow
§ Align projects to link to brand timeframes, e.g. some longer-term issues arise
Partnership Management (External)
§ Manage research suppliers to ensure quality of work, budget and timelines are met
Communication Management (Internal & External Stakeholders)
§ Solicit strategic and tactical hypotheses from key decision makers to drive research design and appropriate tradeoffs
§ Identify and communicate commercial insights with Brand, Channel and/or Customer teams to drive both short term tactical and long term strategic direction
People Management
§ None

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
 
Education level and/or experience
Bachelorā s Degree with Masterā s degree preferred (social sciences, Math, Statistics, research focus preferred) Minimum 3 years of research experience (custom or syndicated) Skills and/or knowledge
Strong analytics ā has worked with secondary research and is familiar with primary research Can identify and synthesize commercial information to provide insights to key customers Working knowledge of a broad range of quantitative methodologies and key questions for determining appropriate research approaches.
