The Senior Consultant, Performance Management is responsible for providing an advanced level of performance management expertise and consulting leadership to key organizational stakeholders by managing the planning, execution and sustainability efforts of strategic performance management strategies. Areas of expertise include metrics development, dashboard creation, performance consulting, data analysis, implementation planning and facilitation. Other areas may include executing Lean Six sigma methodology, value stream mapping, control charting, root cause analysis, and other advanced process improvement expertise as needed. Additionally, the senior consultant will be responsible for providing performance management coaching to key stakeholders, collaborating with other departmental staff and developing reports and presentations, as needed.

Essential Functions:
- Provide an advanced level of performance management expertise by planning, leading and executing strategic performance management efforts that cross multiple functional areas within the health plan.
- Areas of expertise include metrics development, dashboard creation, performance consulting, data analysis, implementation planning and facilitation.
- Other areas may include executing Lean Six sigma methodology, value stream mapping, control charting, root cause analysis, and other advanced process improvement expertise as needed.
- Provide thought partnering and consulting support around performance management to key stakeholders in critical health plan areas to assist in the execution of a regional performance dashboard.
- Partner effectively with departmental leadership, subject matter experts, business analysts and other key stakeholders to help drive and lead cross functional performance management and process improvement efforts.
- Provide statistical analysis to data sets and apply advanced analysis at all stages of the project lifecycle as needed to help the organization achieve performance management goals in alignment with their targeted objectives.
- Represent the Performance Management function at key departmental meetings to provide performance management expertise and leadership.
- Recognize, and works effectively, in complex, political, and ambiguous situations.
- Use organization and personal influence strategies to encourage desired behavior among those involved to reach goals of project.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Eight (8) years of advanced consulting, performance management, and/or process improvement experience required, health plan environment preferred.
- Six (6) years of experience with process improvement methodology required.
- Master's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Health Care or a related field or equivalent years of experience required.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Outstanding written and presentation skills required.
- Exceptional analytical skills required.
- Familiarly with Microsoft Office tools required (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Familiarity with statistical programs (ChartRunner, Minitab, etc.) required.
- Proven track record of leading/managing process improvement teams required.
- Advanced statistical knowledge.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Ten (10) years of advanced performance management/process improvement experience in a health care operational environment preferred.
- Deep knowledge of Health Care Operations and experience in health plan administration preferred.
- Six Sigma Green Belt level of process improvement expertise (or equivalent) preferred.
- Knowledge of health care operations preferred.
