Job description
The Greenplum Specialist will be responsible for supporting: Greenplum Data Computing Appliance, Greenplum database design and performance tuning, Greenplum-Informatica PowerExchange, and SAS Scoring Accelerator in Greenplum Database.
In addition, the Greeplum Specialist will design and implement highly performing and highly scalable Java application that integrates with Business Rules Engine and Analytics tools; analyze user requirements and proposed potential design solutions; understand and comply with development standards and SDLC to ensure consistency across the business and collaborate with Client SMEs and Project Team Members.
Consultants will be located in an IBM office in the metro area or at an IBM client site. Relocation to the area is required. Generally projects and clients are within the area and require very limited travel outside of the local area. However, some projects do require up to 100% travel for an extended period of time that is generally less than 1 year. Consultants are required to be flexible with their ability to travel and cannot refuse projects due to travel.
Required
- Bachelor's Degree
- At least 2 years experience in Greenplum Database design and performance tuning
- At least 2 years experience in Greenplum Data Computing Appliance
- At least 2 years experience in JAVA
- At least 2 years experience in SQL
- Security clearance of MBI Clearance
- Readiness to travel Up to 5 days a week (home on weekends-based on project requirements)
- U.S. citizenship required
- English: Basic knowledge
Preferred
- At least 1 year experience in Greenplum-Informatica PowerExchange
- At least 1 year experience in SAS Scoring Accelerator in Greenplum Database Linux Unix/AIX System Engineering Oracle
- English : Intermediate
