McNeil, a member of Johnson & Johnson Family of companies is currently recruiting for a Director of Technical Operations Support. This position will be based in Fort Washington, PA.
McNeil Consumer Healthcare Division of McNEIL-PPC, Inc markets a broad range of over-the-counter products, including TYLENOL® acetaminophen products, ZYRTEC® and BENADRYL® allergy medicines, IMODIUM® A-D anti-diarrheal, MOTRIN® IB, ROLAIDS® antacid products, and SUDAFED® nasal decongestants
The Director of Technical Operation Strategy and Competency Lead will be a member of the Technical Operations Staff reporting directly to the VP, Technical Operations NA OTC. This role will be responsible for developing and maintaining the processes for the Technical Operations strategy and tactical plans in conjunction with the VP Tech Ops NA OTC and the Tech Ops LT to support strategic plans for the NA OTC Technical Operations organization.
The Director for Technical Operations Strategy will support the development and execution of the change management and communication strategies for Tech Operations. This role will be the overall process owner and management of competency execution within Tech Ops (including setting up appropriate follow-up and governance for competency management). The Director is also responsible to develop and maintain the processes for the Technical Operations strategy, goals/objectives, and tactical plans (including structuring, organizing, and driving the Tech Ops staff activities). Will develop and maintain the performance to plan process for above strategies and tactics at a tech ops group level.
The Director will be responsible to represent the Technical Operations Leadership Team at the McNeil Supply Chain Council for the metrics performance review and is a member of the McNeil OTC Transformation Team to define and set up goals and objectives for the Supply Chain Team. Will develop and manage projects portfolio, prioritization process and resource planning process for the Plant Leadership Team. Will be responsible to develop, manage and maintain the budget plan and resource management process within Technical Operations. Will work with Tech Ops leadership team to translate workforce plans and competency needs into budget and headcount plans.
The Director of Technical Operation Strategy and Competency Lead will support VP Tech Ops NA OTC and the credo/TOCT (Tech Ops Change Team) champion in execution and follow up for the change management plans. Will support credo/TOCT champion and project management for the TOCT (Tech Ops Change Team). Will represent Change management and communications on the Tech Ops LT, and serve as Tech Ops liaison to communication and change management leads within McNeil.
The Director of Technical Operation Strategy and Competency Lead will own and drive the technical operations competency management model and represent Technical Operations in competency management and training efforts within Supply Chain and McNeil. This includes the execution of the overall competency plan and will work with Tech Ops functional heads to translate competency needs in a strategic workforce plan for the technology platforms within McNeil (taking into account Consent Decree resource and competency availability and needs).
Will support Tech Ops functional groups in their individual competency plans and organize class room/external trainings as part of the tech ops competency plans. Will liaison with other departments within supply chain and McNeil for competency management activities as well as translate competency plans into SME schedules (process owners for CD/QSE).

Qualifications
The position requires a minimum of a BS degree in a scientific or pharmaceutical discipline. At least 10 years of Operations/Manufacturing experience including prior people management experience is required. Experience in Consumer Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry is required. Experience in Consent Decree is preferred.
The ideal candidate must have strong facilitation skills. Project management skills is required, FPX is desired. Six Sigma or Process Excellence Green belt certification is preferred. Excellent oral & written communication skills are required. An understanding of team and organizational dynamics is required. Ability to manage and resolve conflict is necessary. Experience with People development is preferred. Ability to maintain successful team relationships and the ability to influence stakeholders is required. Prior experience with the development of successful project management processes as well as Project assessment and risk assessment is required. Understanding of budgets and timelines is preferred.
