Description

Janssen PMP is an integrated business with its own R&D: new idea generation is developed between the R&D function and the business unit leaders. Janssen PMP is organised in 4 business units: Wood Protection (fungicides), Plant Preservation (post-harvest treatment of fruits), Microbial Control (moldicides for various materials) and Anti-Fouling (paint additives). Development of new products for all units is realized by internal team (labs) and through CROs.

Within R&D PMP we have a team of people focusing on Analytical Sciences.

The department is responsible for:

- Focused analytical base business support for the PMP product portfolio
- Development and implementation of new and innovative Analytical Technology Platforms
- Analytical Centres of Excellence in:

o Microbiology, elemental analysis, excipients, packaging, device, particulate matter, NMR & MS

o External Technologies

In the R&D department in Beerse, Belgium, there is currently a full-time opening for a (m/f)

Manager PMP

- Responsible for the chemical characterization and stability profiling of PMP products
- Interpret forced degradation and excipient compatibility results to aid analytical method development, determine appropriate storage conditions, and support stability studies and formulation design.
- Capable of designing and executing independently the scientific experiments.
- Report results to teams and management.
- Work in a multidisciplinary team of researchers, internally as well as externally.

Qualifications


- Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Chemistry (analytical/organic), Pharmacy or a related science.
- Good knowledge and experience in organic synthetic chemistry is required with basic understanding of peptide and polymer chemistry.
- Prior experience with small molecule analysis using high-pressure liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry and/or NMR spectroscopy is an asset.
- Efficient, flexible and dynamic.
- You enjoy "hands-on" laboratory work.
- Fluent English (both spoken and written), willing to learn basics of Dutch language.
- Good English scientific writing skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Team player
