Description

The Data Privacy Officer Janssen Campus Belgium (DPO) will be responsible for managing and coordinating the Data Privacy matters relevant to all businesses on Janssen Campus Belgium (JPNV, Janssen Infectious Diseases, Janssen Diagnostics, J.C. General Services, Janssen-Cilag, J&J Consumer, Janssen Supply Chian, support functions,...) according to the needs and priorities discussed with the business functions. Depending on the level of maturity and the needs of the various businesses on Campus with respect to privacy matters, the role of the DPO may be that of a coordinator/facilitator or that of a primary responsible person. The DPO will also act as privacy liaison with the Global Privacy Organisation of Johnson & Johnson.

He/she will:

- Develop guidance on the implementation activities to be carried out at a country level to meet the objectives of the Corporate Data Privacy Program.
- Elaborate practical, localized guidance in line with the Global Privacy Framework and policies (e.g., review of policies, update of consent and notice forms, review of vendor agreements).
- Support management in establishing a cross-functional Privacy Committee. The DPO will be the leader of this Committee and main coordinator of its tasks.
- Establish a privacy roadmap focusing on recurrent actions to ensure that the company meets its privacy obligations and that privacy failures are detected and remediated regularly.
- Determine privacy training needs within the company work on a training curriculum and provide training as deemed appropriate.
- Serve as the main point of contact to share staff experiences in privacy-related issues and provide first guidance if privacy questions arise.
- Update the business on privacy regulatory changes and identify the privacy hurdles or needs when new projects or technologies are discussed by business process owners (HR, Clinical, Sales & Marketing, etc).
- Create and maintain an inventory of electronic and manual systems that collect personal data (from employees, customers, third parties, job applicants and others) and an overview of third party recipients of personal data.
- Be appointed as the main point of contact to the Belgian Commission for the Protection of Privacy and ensuring that the firm's notifications or other obligations towards this authority are effectively met.
- Work constructively as one team with the Global Privacy Organization, peers in other EMEA opco's and at international level to coordinate action-taking in the area of privacy.
- Work constructively with the Janssen Campus Belgium Legal Affairs group and the broader J&J law Department on interpretation of laws and regulations, contract excellence, litigation matters and incident management.
- Liaise with the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Janssen Campus Belgium on issues that pertain to the protection of personal data, including appropriate security and access controls, in accordance with internal policies;
- Contribute to establishing procedures in data leakage prevention, data breach and other threats to information.
- Handle privacy-related incidents having local impact in close cooperation with local management and, depending on the incident, with the Global Privacy Organization; and serve as incident response lead.
- Initiate, facilitate and promote activities to enhance information privacy awareness within the organization and other J&J entities (e.g. in relation to EU developments or legislative changes in Belgium).

Qualifications


- Master degree in Law
- Expert in privacy legislation (applied in a company context)
- Experience in health care sector is an asset
- Good communication skills
- Be able to manage different stakeholders
- The ability to have influence without authority
- Excellent knowledge of Dutch and English. French is a plus.
