The Ethicon Surgical Care business, a part of the Global Surgery Group within Johnson & Johnson Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Strategic Systems Director, located in Los Angeles, CA.

The Strategic Systems Director (SSD) leads a transformative shift in account management, accountable for system-level relationships and strategic account business plans for targeted Healthcare Systems. The SSDs purpose is to cultivate a strategic partnership with the corporate office and their respective membership by understanding the clinical, economic and business needs and aligning Ethicon-wide resources from across the organization to ensure access and drive demand at the system/affiliate hospitals. The SSD is expected to interact with key executives in senior leadership positions in partnership with Sales Management, Corp Accounts, Medical Affairs and HE&R. The SSD will be held accountable for achieving system level Ethicon Surgical Care business objectives such as; conversion of competitive business, increased portfolio penetration and forecast attainment goals in accordance with all Healthcare Compliance guidelines.
Additional SSD job responsibilities include: Own system-level relationships and understand customer's strategic priorities. Proactively foster relationships to partner with key executive, economic and clinical decision makers across the System. Develop sustainable strategic relationships with healthcare executives at targeted IDNs to maximize effectiveness with clinicians and other critical decision makers, driving account growth and share of mind. Interacts with key customers at a system level (e.g. KOLs, system VACs) and facility level (e.g. Sales Managers, CADs, facility VACs, key access meetings at facility headquarter locations) and actively participates on customer advisory boards and councils. In partnership with Sales Management and Corporate Accounts, prioritize business opportunities across the global surgery portfolio, assessing portfolio trade-offs and opportunities. Maintain continuity at a system level by developing and implementing a system-level strategic plan that ensures ETHICON Surgical Care forecast attainment goals. Build and manage relationships with internal organizational stakeholders. Align internal commercial and COE resources to address customer needs by facilitating appropriate internal and external relationships. Collaborate with CADs and recommend contracting strategy to achieve overall system objectives. Guide and influence Sales Managers on facility level strategy within a system. Assist Sales Manager on executing facility level plans, and participates as needed (e.g. join facility VAC). Conduct business and set the tone for the team or for others in accordance with Business Conduct Policy, HCC and other J&J policies and procedures. The successful incumbent will also have excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office and Apple applications, and have expertise in sales force effectiveness tools.

Qualifications
In order to be considered for this role, the successful SSD candidate must be able to live in their assigned region/territory, if hired. An undergraduate Bachelors Degree in an applicable field is required, with an MBA or equivalent qualification preferred. A minimum of 10 years of successful experience in Clinical Sales, Marketing, Customer Engagement, Professional Education, or Sales Learning and Development is also required. A minimum of 5 years of multi functional experience in Marketing, Professional Education, Sales Learning and Development, Market Access, or other commercial functions is strongly preferred. Previous experience in strategic account management is strongly preferred. A valid driver's license issued in one of the 50 United States is required. The ability to travel, including overnight and/or weekends, up to 80% of the time is also required.
