Job Text

Plan, design and/or execute sophisticated chemical analysis programs for Interplant Evaluations, Competitor Evaluations, International Evaluations, Pilot Brewing Support, Brewery Trials, Consumer Tests, Non-conforming Product and Development Projects.

Provide technical and analytical support for Breweries, method development, non-conforming product, product and process improvement, new product and process development, packaging development, consumer concerns and special projects.

Manage the analytical data system, warehousing and retrieval.

Bachelorâ s degree in a science related field of study or higher preferred plus a minimum of 5-10 years lab experience.

Advanced knowledge of the principles and techniques of chemistry as they apply to Brewing, Flavored Malt Beverages and hops.

Advanced knowledge of laboratory equipment (i.e.  HPLC, GC, GC-MS, ICP, FTIR), laboratory automation and data management.

Advanced knowledge of ASBC and EBC analytical chemistry test methods.

Advanced knowledge of analytical methods development, testing, troubleshooting and adaptation.

Advanced knowledge of analytical instrumentation validation methodology

Ability to provide technical direction and training on methods and equipment to a wide range of skill and knowledge levels.

Ability to plan and conduct advanced and complicated analytical methods

Major project conception, planning, organizing and implementation.

Ability to prioritization and decision making in a dynamic environment.

Interpersonal, communication, presentation, consulting skills and conflict resolution.

Advanced knowledge of â On Line Beer Analysisâ technologies.

Ability to evaluate lab equipment and make recommendation for future development and purchases.

Ability to use advanced computer skills to interpret data and chromatograms, summarize data and make formal presentations.

Ability to use statistical tools such as analysis of variance, regression analysis and correlation analysis to evaluate data.

Proficient in project management skills.
