Medicare- Business Analyst Consultant

 

This role will work working directly with customers at all levels within the organization, IT staff, and outside parties, provides leadership and functional expertise in facilitating operational business requirements and solution proposals or to satisfy governance and compliance regulations and reporting. Provides business consulting in support of IT projects and enhancements. Accountable for providing leadership to ensure appropriate collection of information, data analysis, documentation of information, and presentation of findings. Provides mentoring and guidance to staff.

 

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES


- Conducts analysis of client business processes and functional or reporting requirements. Prepares appropriate documentation to communicate and validate the information.
- Develops the analysis, directs and participates in the evaluation of existing application products or reporting methods, and recommends efficient, cost effective solutions which support client business processes and functional requirements.
- Provides advice and direction to internal and external customers to ensure that the business requirements are appropriately defined and that an enhancement or project is warranted.
- Coordinates and may lead cross-functional task forces to identify and document functional or reporting requirements, work flow, information sources and distribution paths, and system specifications.
- Develops comprehensive business cases with cost estimates, service, and benefit dimensions of proposed large, complex IT projects that are used for funding and scope decisions.
- Applies technical and business knowledge in the analysis of client requirements in project areas such as: IT testing and product acceptance, new business operating models with innovative approaches to IT solutions support, market research of emerging or available product functionality, operational readiness
- assessment, IT reporting, process documentation governance, and compliance.
- Performs knowledge transfer to other staff. May review their work.
- Provides mentoring and guidance to staff.
- Performs other duties as required.

Qualifications:

JOB SPECIFICATIONS


- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Previous (7-10 years) experience in information systems development or implementation with progressively more complex responsibilities and accountabilities in a client server environment and/or reporting and process development.
- Extensive knowledge of health care business and care delivery processes or datacenter services and ITIL Certification preferred.
- Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, process improvement, and documentation skills.
- Demonstrated verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
