Description

The Supply Chain and Global Finance organizations at Johnson & Johnson are undergoing significant change, to enable growth and value for Johnson & Johnson through a Global Integrated Supply Chain organization that optimizes services, reduces costs and enables quality and compliance, as well as the roll-out of the Global Finance shared service organization that drives significant efficiencies and improved controls. An important element in delivering the Global Supply Chain enterprise strategy is the establishment of the Back to Basics (BtB) Program.

The overall purpose for the creation of the BtB team is to translate corporate strategy into a clear picture of J&J's Enterprise Supply Chain and Global Finance business models by defining key strategic capabilities, standard processes, quality and compliance standards & supporting infrastructure. BtB is a process-based business transformation Program to deliver the Supply Chain strategic enterprise capabilities and enable Supply Chain and Finance efficiencies.

The BtB team is recruiting for a Material-LE Manager, Master Data. This position is based in Piscataway, NJ or globally. This position will report directly to the BtB Master Data Management Manager . This is an enterprise wide global position.

The Material-LE Manager, Master Data primary point-of-contact and functional accountability for data standards and data governance processes related to material as part of the BtB program. Coordinate the data design of the material master and related data within the BtB program based on input from the EMDM and process teams. Drive acceptance of data standards across the process teams that utilize (formally and informally) material data and information. Ensure alignment of the material-centric data governance processes and standards with applicable global, sector, regional and local data support models. Advise as appropriate on governance model evaluations, selection(s) and implementation strategies within the BtB program related to material data. Provide and/or validates functional specifications to support to the implementation of any data maintenance and governance applications that support material information (i.e. SAP ECC, SAP MDM, SAP MDG, and Information Steward). Ensure a continuous improvement cycle for master data related to material, including: Refine and continue to develop the overall data design and governance model for managing material master data to address both currently identified and potential requirements. Monitor and incorporate regulatory, compliance and other external requirements (e.g. GS1) related to the material information(s) that should be considered as part of the material design. Guide and champion the BTB program activities related to material master data. Manage across multiple deployments of the BtB global template. Awareness and accountability for seamless integration and dependencies across all functional process areas and systems. Oversight or personal accountability for deliverables such as; Business Process/System Design, Configuration, Functional Design for Reports, interfaces, Conversion, Enhancements and Forms, , Test Scripts, Test Execution, CSV Documentation, Work-Instructions, Training Materials, as well as responsibility for execution of process workshops, process/system walkthroughs, training, various testing phases, etc.

Responsibilities include:

SAP Material Data Deployment Lead: SAP Data Design, Configuration and Management. Responsible for sustainable cross functional master data design related to material information, including but not limited to the Material Master. Ensure data standards, business rules, process flows and supporting transactions are aligned with the BtB/Enterprise standard template. Provide/validate functional specifications to ensure documentation and configuration of SAP aligns business requirements for data with BtB/Enterprise Template.

SAP Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements and Forms (RICEF's). Holistic focus on material data, including conversion, master data management (processes, reports and workflows), and interfaces. Ensure documentation, development, testing and delivery follow BtB/Enterprise delivery methodology.

Testing and Training: Ensure functional area testing preparedness and execution. Ensure string, unit and validation test scripts for all business process areas in scope, and oversee unit, string and validation testing. Ensure support to training materials development (localization). Ensure delivery of "Train the Trainer" to designated franchise leads. Ensure required work instructions for BtB/Enterprise are developed and maintained by both master data and each process area. Assists teams with problem resolution, issue management, etc.

Ongoing Governance and Deployment: Ensure leadership and execution of required change requests through the process (interface to IT support, impact analysis, release mgt, data changes, testing etc.). Ensure changes to business processes are coordinated with other process owners and backward integrated to legacy systems.

Implementation Leadership: Identify and drive team project deliverables, resource allocations and prioritizations. Own project team deliverables, including project resource planning, process descriptions and other CSV documentation, test development, test execution management, training support, conversion rules development from a project planning, execution and control standpoint. Manage BtB/Enterprise implementation business staff (talent development) as required.

Project Mgt & Implementation Readiness: Own the tactical planning for the design team's master data deliverables. Drive the timely deliverables of master data team design deliverables. Ensure knowledge transfer between team resources, site resources (SME's and Power Users), consultants are identified and completed.

Qualifications


Bachelors degree or equivalent experience is required. A minimum of 5 years of experience in material master data within Operations/Supply Chain or equivalent project experience is required. A minimum of 3 years experience in designing and implementing SAP, or equivalent experience is required. Material Master Data Management experience in the context of large ERP SAP programs is required. Experience working within an international organization, including multi-country or global implementation is required. Knowledge of most of the key concepts around master data management, data standards and organizations is required. Strong technical knowledge and understanding of material master data elements, processes, and organizational support models is required. Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills required.

Expertise in business processes within Supply Chain preferred. Understanding of end-to-end supply chain interactions and interdependencies with other functions, preferred. Demonstrated hands-on project management/delivery is preferred. Strong people management and development, and change leadership skills is preferred. Health Sciences experience is desired. Experience working with multiple Operating Companies and/or sectors within J&J, preferred. Process re-engineering experience is preferred.

Domestic/International travel is required up to 50% of the time. Peak periods of travel may be near 100% for 1-2 months around go-lives.
