DePuy Synthes Spine is the Spine business offering a comprehensive portfolio of spinal care solutions for the treatment of the most simple to the most complex spine disorders using traditional and minimally invasive techniques.

The Quality Manager should excel in an environment that embraces teamwork, change, risk-based decision-making and flexibility. This individual's primary responsibility will include leading multiple engineers and mentoring them in quality activities and reaching out to business partners to remove roadblocks and ensuring project success. This individual will supervise and approve design control files for new product development efforts. This individual will be responsible for their team's development of risk assessments, inspection methodologies, and acceptance criteria for inspection sample plans and conduct audits of new suppliers. The Quality Managers secondary responsibilities include providing leadership in the understanding of medical device regulations to other disciplines. The Quality Manager will need to be able to communicate effectively at all levels within Quality as well as cross functionally with departments such as R&D, Regulatory, Manufacturing, and Marketing. He/she will support the Quality system by gathering and analyzing data and identifying trends to improve quality systems' overall compliance, effectiveness, and efficiency. He/she will participate in meeting governing the quality system to ensure effective resource deployment and actions are being conducted. He/she will investigate internal and external system failures and ensures successful resolution as well as maintain quality systems' inspection readiness.

Qualifications


A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in a Technical or Scientific discipline is required. A minimum of 8 years experience is required. An Advanced degree in a related field is an asset. A minimum of 2 years of management experience is required. Quality Engineering/Process Excellence/Lean experience is preferred. Experience conducting Process / Design Failure Mode Effects and Analysis is an asset. Mechanical testing knowledge is preferred. Experience with Blueprint reading/literacy including GD&T is required. Familiarity with inspection methods and techniques is an asset. Knowledge of the QSR, Design Controls, and ISO quality requirements is required. Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills will be required. Interpersonal skills that foster conflict resolution as it relates to technical situations will be required.

This position will be based in Raynham, MA, and will require up to 10% travel.
