Job Summary:
The KPIT Pharmacy BIO team is recruiting for a Business Consultant Lead for the Inpatient & Outpatient Technology Support team.
The Business Consultant Lead role will include project management, vendor support, and change & release management responsibilities. Change and release management work includes working closely with our vendor and business users to support and upgrade our applications; project-based processes involving all aspects of the project life cycle from inception to implementation, and ongoing maintenance of the program/application. Production support work focuses on supporting enhancements/releases, and responding to user/client problems and issues with the application/system.
This position receives high-level direction from the KPIT Inpatient & Outpatient Technology Support Manager, but must work directly with the Pharmacy Operations and management team with minimal daily direction. This position may require periodic travel to other regions.
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
For project management, the majority of the time will be spent with the clients and vendors to get requirements, provide technical specs, and support through implementation (testing, release management, etc.)
For development, majority of time is spent managing the vendors from requirements through implementation.
This resource will be focused on projects and vendor management. Vendor management will include the development and gathering of performance-based metrics.
May provide input to estimate requirements for project plans and may participate in interregional projects that share a common platform.
Qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or 4 years of additional work related experience.
A minimum of 8 years of experience to include analysis of business processes and business case development to support IT solutions, development of new programs/application or maintaining and/or supporting existing programs/systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Full knowledge of healthcare industry practices preferred and/or understanding of membership-based business.
Good understanding of Pharmacy applications or specifically in the pharmacy automation, dispensing, clinical work flow.
PMP certification or demonstrated project management skills.
MBA desired
High level knowledge of Share Point and Remedy or equivalent IT ticketing systems.
