Administers diagnostic audiological tests that allow the differentiation between types of hearing disorders coordinates and interprets test results and consults with and makes recommendations on hearing disorders to physicians.
Essential Functions:
- Provides diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation and rehabilitation services for auditory problems and research relating to hearing and attendant disorders.
- Physically and otoscopically examines the outer structures of the ear.
- Procedures may include evaluation, fitting and dispensing of hearing aids; cochlear implant assessment, programming and rehabilitation; and electrophysiologic evaluation of the vestibular and auditory mechanisms, in addition to electroacoustic measures of the peripheral and central auditory systems.
- Counsels individuals with auditory disorders, their families and other service providers regarding the etiology of the disorder and its management.
- Provides reports and coordinates audiological results with other diagnostic data such as educational, medical, social and behavioral information.
Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications:
- Previous post-licensure experience in the field of audiology preferred.
- Master's degree or higher in Audiology required.
- Current California state license in audiology required.
- California hearing aid dispenser's license may be required.
- Certificate of clinical competency in audiology preferred.
- Must have a National Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI, prior to employment start date.
- Proficient in diagnostic evaluation of hearing, prevention, habilitation and rehabilitation services for auditory problems.
- Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Three(3) years post-licensure experience in the field of audiology within (5) years, preferred.
-Knowledge and proficiency in practical experience of hearing aid dispensing.
-Highest levels of demonstrated courtesy to patients, members and co-workers.
-Exhibit professional behavior in obtaining histories and demonstrate proficiency in report writing and dictation.
-Focus attention on detail.
-Organize and prioritize.
-Able to take direction and follow work rules.
-Provide excellent and courteous customer service.
